    Hello Ladies

I hope everyone is doing well.

I was wondering when you all began to feel baby move and how did you know?

I had my 12 week scan today and couldn't believe how active baby was, wriggling and waving and jumping around, as of course I can't feel a thing yet!
I had no idea they had such a secret life even this early!
So am dying to know when I might actually know what the little tinker is up to inside of me. I am so excited!!

    xx

This is my first and I think i felt little flinches from about 15-16 weeks and full on kicks from 18. This all seemed quite early, but he/she has been very active since!

Wow hasn't that time flown by, congratulations on your 12 week scan, so pleased that all is well.

To be honest I didn't start feeling movements until I was over 21 weeks. I did experience little flutters before that and although they probably were movements, they didn't feel like it as such. I was 23 weeks when I started to feel them everyday xx

I started feeling movement at just over 19 weeks.

We went to see District 9 at the cinema last night and baby was going mad in there! Must have been the loud noises! We're having a less wiggly day today to compensate!

This is my 1st and didnt feel anything til until about 20/21 weeks, just before 2nd scan if remember correctly (pregnancy brain lol) have it all written in a little journal... At first it felt like butterflies, you know when really nervous. THen i would get movement which to me felt like beong flicked from inside. I am now 35+3 and my hubby has only felt baby 1/2 times so think baby has arms/legs tucked well within!! xx

First things first, congrats on getting past the '12 week scan' milestone and seeing your little wriggler. I am really happy for you!

I first started feeling something at 17 weeks. Exactly as Lucyloo describes it - flicks towards the bottom of my pelvis! I first felt it lying in bed in the morning and I didn't want to get up!

OH felt it last weekend at 19 weeks. Full on movement now, especially when I eat - and a very cold glass of water seems to have an effect too!

It is the most wonderful thing ever and is very reassuring.

This is my first and I started feeling little twinges, like muscle spasms, at 18 weeks and hubby felt first kick at 19 weeks. Had scan On Friday which confirmed my placenta is at the back and this def. makes difference to how soon you feel it so don't worry if it is a bit later. My cousin didn't feel her wee boy til 22 weeks.

You see this is why I LOVE this site, I'd never have known that if the placenta is at the back it might mean you feel movements later than others.

Its great to hear everyones story, thanks for sharing and thanks for all the good wishes.

I can't wait to feel a kick now ! ( never thought I'd say that!)
