I'm coming up 16 weeks pregnant and am on meds which have helped a lot, but am still nauseous 95% of the day and vomiting once or twice a day. I was hoping the 16 week mark would signal the end of it, but it's not seeming likely. For those of you that suffered with Hyperemisis Gravidum, when did it ease up for you?
Thanks BLL x

Was it diagnosed by your GP or hospital? I had it and it's a whole lot worse than being sick twice a day. It is diagnosed by urine or blood test.
ETA - I didn't mean to sound unkind, but I've had morning sickness twice and have had diagnosed HG with this one. If you have HG, you're admitted to hospital. No question. Having had both, they really don't compare. This time I didn't eat for 4-5 days at a time and wasn't even keeping sips of water down. Being sick 10+ times per day. A totally different ball game. x

Erm, when I gave birth, all 3 times. Literally. Normal people feel like they've been hit by a bus after childbirth, I felt fabulous despite 3 c sections!
You have my sympathies, it is truly awful x

Thanks for your replies seems like it asking how long is a piece of string.
In answer to your questions I was diagnosed by GP first then the hospital, I was vomiting about 15 times a day but with a few types of tablets and sone injections it's settled down to someyhing more manageable which I'm grateful for, but I'd still like to hope the whole things goes away altogether soon x

It is grim. Mine, fortunatley went at about 13 weeks, but I'm still nauseous all day even now. It's awful.

Honestly I don't really know. It sort of rolled into something else that also involved severe vomiting so the lines between the two were blurred! But basically I was being violently sick and unable to eat properly until I was a good 7/8 months pregnant. Bland food stayed down better. It's great that the tablets are working for you though, sounds like you're a lot better on them. Fingers crossed it eases up more for you soon :)
