hi gemma, dont worry spud you havent nothing to worry about just go with the flow a little and enjoy the thought of your little beauti growing inside you...normally they work it out from your last monthly so if it was 4 weeks since your last then you are 4 weeks pregnant...there or there abouts i dont do it right down to the point..lol...it is usually aroung the 12 week before you see anyone but i think this varies depending on where you live...youve come to the right place to find everything out cos theres a great bunch of women on here to ask. good luck and take care becky.xx

You are classed as pregnant from the date of your last period, so you are 4 weeks pregnant as at the date of your missed period (despite not conceiving until half way through the month, crazy I know). Once you know you are pregnant book to see the GP so its on your notes & he can work out the due date (although at ivillage.co.uk there is a pregnancy dates calculator tool), then you'll need to see the midwife for a booking in appointment (paperwork!) and she'll book the 12 week scan at the hospital (to confirm dates and check all is ok) and give you the form for free prescriptions/dental work. Some midwives see you week 8, others later/earlier, check with your GP/doctor's receptionists. Natural to be worried and tired all the time, you should also feel special, congrats!
