Any preferences and reasons why? anything I might not have thought of?

Behind the passenger seat. It's easier to look back at him and put his dummy back in etc. We also have mirror above his seat so that i can see him via the rear view mirror

Behind the driver, that way if parking in normal space can park slightly off centre and be able to get her out more easily. I found it easier to see her in the little mirror when behind me too. When she went into a forward facing seat I swapped her over to passenger side as easier for posing things to get.

We have ours behind the driver's seat so that anyone in the passenger seat can reach over to her if necessary. I wouldn't want to be distracted by being able to see/tend to her while driving
Behind the passenger seat. When you park on a road the passenger side is against the pavement rather than in the traffic for leaning in to get them in and out.

Just to clarify... I obviously don't attend to him whilst I'm driving but I do have to pull over quite often to put his dummy back in.

Also, we have a corsa (new shape) and there would not be enough room for my H to drive if the base was installed behind the drivers seat.

Right from day 1 we put N behind the passenger seat so this baby will automatically go behind the driver seat. I think it's more important to be able to reach to pass things to the toddler in our case.
If it was one child I'd always put behind the passenger seat though, can see them (when stationery and if you have a mirror!)

I was thinking passenger seat, as I always park against that side when I can, and HT you make a good point about my H, probably not enough room behind drivers when he's driving.

L's seat is, and always has been, behind the passenger side.

We always had the infant carrier behind the passenger seat. This time baby will be going behind the driver seat because it's the easiest way to fit 3 seats in with access to seat belts for all the seats

We looked in the which website and filled in the car and they say that behind the passenger seat is the safest place

A was behind the passenger seat in the infant carrier, and is now he's in the next stage, because that's rear facing and needs the passenger seat to be in one position, this baby will have to be behind the driver seat. Practically speaking, I find I often park with the passenger side on the pavement, so it's always been easiest to get him in/out on that side.

I was told on here that behind the passenger seat was safest (something about x% of accidents being on a roundabout and so from the drivers side??? Maybe? But was a while ago was told).
I can't see E or reach her from either side as we've a big car and I'm a short ass! I would have to get out of my seat and onto my knees.

Ours is behind the passenger seat. H is huge so has the driver seat really far back.

When rear facing I had them behind the driver - to avoid me being able to reach them when driving. It made sure I always pulled over if they needed assistance.
Now they are FF I don't think it makes much difference. I have 4 carseats now for when I'm minding nephews and nieces, iways put the you fest in the middle so that the older ones on each side can pass them things, tell me what's happening etc

L's car seat has always been behind the passenger seat. In the early days when we all went out, H would drive and i would sit in the back with her.

Behind the drivers seat, it's the only way I can get him in and out of my car when it's in the garage - I also only have to make sure there's room on one side of the car when we park anywhere for both me and him to get out.
