I need to start looking into doubles as I want to get a second hand one so need to start keeping my eye out for a bargain.
it can't be a side by side as it just won't fit in my house so has to be a tandem one (is that what they're called)
I have a big fear of doubles in general, they always look such hard work. But the p&t ones seem a half decent option as far as doubles go.
i haven't been to test one out yet though.
what I'm wondering though, is when I look on eBay, there seems to be a few different types of p&t doubles and I can't quite tell what the difference is.
so if you have a p&t which do you have?
Would you recommend it? i know they all have negatives so what are they?
Is there any other tandems other than a p&t you would recommend? it will be for a newborn and a then 22 month old. And ideally a popular one so easy to get hold of a second hand eBay one.

I've bought a Britax B Dual this time round. It's a similar style to the P&T but I found the seats a bit more roomy. It is really quite bulky when folded and pretty heavy to lift but pushing wise I found it fine - this was me testing it out with a heavy 3 1/2 year old and an 18 month old. I've read a few reviews where people say it's too bulky but when I read comparison reviews against it and the P&T it was much of a muchness, I'd say the Britax came out better in a lot of them. I got a new one from Precious Little One for a reasonable price too, can't remember how much but it was less than £300 including the car seat and 2nd seat

I don't have a P&T, but I too fear doubles. I recently got a Jane Powertwin and it seems good, and i can use it with a carseat. My son has already sat in it a few times! The only thing that put me off a P&T was that a newborn is sort of shoved on a shelf? And then when they are older, they are really low down and hidden behind the front seat so they can see? Seems odd to me.
To be honest, I am hoping that I can use a carrier a lot of the time, and a pushchair, but it's nice to know I have option of a double in case I need it. I can give proper feedback in a few months time!

I'm going to try and go to look at some this weekend. I will probably be back with many more questions after that!
