hi I'm a first time mum and 39 weeks in the last 10 days i have a few problems with the pregnancy and as a result lots of tests.
my problem is i have elevated ALT levels 180 plus other problems with my blood but they are only just outside the norm, i also have a lot of swelling in face feet and arms plus horrendous itching to the point where i only get 30 minute naps.
i have had a liver scan which appears normal but the midwives don't know what is wrong with me.
is there any reason the baby can't be born early either induction or c section as i am really worried for him and think it is stupid to leave him in me when they can't guarantee he is not being effected.

I ve never experienced problems the same as you before so can't help on that front. I was kept in with very high blood pressure and a bit of swelling. They kept me in for two days with the monitor on bump which reassured me. It certainly isn't dangerous to have your baby just a week early but I suppose it depends on hospital and how busy they always are! If you are not happy tell them and make them listen, tell you want answers and aren't going to stop ringing until you fully understand what's going on and what they intend to do to ensure you and your babies safety.
I lost a baby at 21 weeks and the HVS were not listening to me about reduced movements I was right and they were wrong which had a sad ending.
I know for a fact if I feel anything is wrong with my next pgy I will shout so loud I will be heard and won't leave hospital/GP until I'm satisfied!
keep an eye on your babies movements if your babies distressed the movements may change etc Make your HV monitor you every day if need be just a two minute listen in on the heart beat will give you reassurance
I hope you get answers for your own sanity and peace of mind
good luck xxx
