Pregnancy & Birth Clubs <

I've been invited out to a colleague's birthday dinner tonight but have only just looked up where it is. I travel 45 mins to work & most of the people live fairly close to there (ish) but google maps is saying it'll take me an hour to get there. I like the idea of going but spending an hour in the car to find it, then maybe 2 - 2 1/2 hours there to then drive home an hour. Then tomorrow morning the drama group I teach have got their show so I'll have to deal with 10 excited/nervous 4-6 year olds who (if lasts year show is anything to go by) will get stage fright & I'll have to narrate the whole thing.
Am I being pathetic in not going? I rarely seem to go out.
WWYD? Thanks ladies x

I'd play the pregnancy card and not go!

It's also just occurred to me that I'll probably be the only sober 1 there too! If I didn't have to get up tomorrow it'd be fine

I'd go, but then again not much stops me from going out to dinner
If you are feeling crap then just leave if (get a takeaway so you still get a nice meal), if it were me though and I got to miss toddler bedtime AND got to have a nice meal if be there in a shot but can totally understand why u might give it a miss and I'm sure ur colleagues would too x

I'd go, but only if it was a nice restaurant and I knew I'd have a good time with friends.

I wouldn't want to go, just because it sounds like a hassle. However, I know if I did go I'd have a great time and be so glad I didn't just stay at home, so I'd try to make the effort. All depends on how you're feeling generally though? Could you do with a night out, or are you feeling so tired you wouldn't enjoy it?

Thanks ladies, I've gone backwards & forwards all afternoon. I think if I don't go out I'll regret it (even if I am exhausted tomorrow). Now got to hope that my hubby gets home in time & that Isobelle is happy to play upstairs whilst I shower & get ready!!
