Just wanted a bit of advice. I had bleeding and cramps on Tuesday so went to the hospital, they listened to baby's heartbeat and were happy with it. I've had some tests done and should get the results tomorrow so have been resting at home.
I have been getting some sharp cramps and this morning I've been sick. Now I'm never sick unless I'm really unwell, I haven't been sick throughout the whole pregnancy. They have said it may be an infection but of course this is all a guess as they couldn't really find a cause for my bleeding/cramps and I've had quite a trouble free pregnancy so far.
I'm feeling really "off", what would you do in my shoes? Ring the Midwife/Doctor or just try to wait until I get my results? I thought even if I did ring they're unlikely to do anything but I'm a bit worried.

Firstly, hugs to you as it's such a worrying time. I would phone up and get some advice, there's no harm in doing that. I hope you feel better soon and there's no more bouts of sickness xx
If you're worried then please ring the midwife or doctor

Ring your mw. It doesn't do any harm and hopefully they can help reassure you

Hope you feel better soon. I would definitely ring even it's just to put your mind at rest a bit xx

Thank you for the replies. I didn't want to midwife to think I was a worrying first time mum! I'll ring them at 9am when they open x

Sorry to hear that you're still not feeling good. I would also ring them as this could be the missing part of the puzzle to solving what the problem is. If there's nothing they'll do till tomorrow at least you'll feel that you did something. Please make sure you rest up x x

I'd phone the gp, they will want to rule out medical cause first then get me to check. You said you feel generally unwell so the first thing the mw will say is see gp. Gp can also phone hospital to access any blood results.

Midwife seemed a bit concerned which is now making me panic! Have been told to contact my doctor and get them to refer me to the early pregnancy unit so waiting for the doctor to call me.

Sounds like they're checking things for you. Really hope they find what's causing this soon & try not to panic x x

Try to stay calm. Its better that they check it out and try and get to the bottom of it xx

Have you heard back from the GP yet? I hope they're able to rule anything untoward out.
Having also had bleeding this week and generally not feeling myself I've been back and forth to the hospital a few times I can completely understand how you feel. My MW didn't seem at all worried on Monday when I spoke to her about spotting and a few niggles. Fast forward to early hours of Wednesday morning, I wake up soaked in blood. The maternity unit couldn't help as they only take queries from 14 weeks and I'm just under that so I was sent to A&E. They didn't have the facilities to check baby so no heartbeat was listened for or scan. They did pick up that I have a severe UTI but all they could do was send me home and refer me for another scan. Everything appears fine after my scan this morning but I automatically thought the worst. Please remember that bleeding and feeling unwell doesn't necessarily mean anything bad but it's definitely a good idea to get checked out. I hope you've heard back from the GP and all is okay. Will be looking out for an update x

Hope all is ok PP and you did the right thing being checked over, it is always best to let med peeps know.
WG - That sounds very scary. I'm glad everything was ok with the scan, rest up and get well soon.

The nurse who talked through our results with us today said if I had any more bleeding then I should get my GP to check my cervix and not to let them to fob me off. Apparently if they can't see any bleeding coming from the actual pregnancy then it's likely to be coming from mum and needs looking into. If you have any more bleeding definitely insist on being checked out. Fingers crossed you've just got a bit of a big maybe and that's why you're not feeling great. Take it easy x
