It was C's birthday last week and of course he was bought lots of lovely gifts. We live with the in laws and they mentioned fairly enough, that their living room was starting to resemble a toy shop. We shipped the toys upstairs but are now finding at bed time C is playing instead of sleeping. He is also starting to wake early and play when previously he would have turned over and gone back to sleep.
Do you have the same trouble? Where do you store your toys??

C's got a load in his wardrobe, but the rest of them are kept in the living room. It was all getting a bit out of hand here too since his birthday so we finally got round to getting some new storage which looks so much better and we don't have loads of things piled on top of the old toy boxes now either, and he can get to his toys much easier so is now playing with things he's not played with in ages - we went for the Ikea Expedit.

We've got a toy box in E's room which contains happyland and her dolls house. Then they've both got one of them collapsable wash basket things in their room with teddies in.
Downstairs we've got a TV unit with two big cupboard in it, each cupboard has got toys in, then we've got two brown leather boxes with toys in as well. The only things actually out on show all the time are E's kitchen, and a basket of instruments.

We are fortune to have a playroom. They have a few bits in their bedrooms (Sylvanian etc) but the rest us kept downstairs. In our old house we stored the toys in our under stairs cupboard which worked really well, but the door was in the living room so that made it all the better.

We have a wall of cupboards and drawers in our conservatory but always have a good clear out at birthdays and Christmas to make space
Deedee....we have planned the Expedit in to our new house so I'm confident it's a circumstantial problem lol. Just these 10pm bedtimes and 6am wake ups along with the newborn are taking their toll.....I've never drunk so much wine!
