well now it isn't
We have had to swap the rooms over so Zoe is now in what had been decorated as the nursery and Noodles is going in to Zoe's room. This means we need the decorator to come back out and have both the rooms painted again. He can't come until June (baby due mid July) so that means that we can't get it all finished until then. The frustrating thing is that Zoe's new room looks fab in the colour we had painted it for Noodles but she is adamant she wants it lilac again, and tbh that's only fair as she has had to give up her room that had only just been finished for her.

Probably a silly question, but why did you have to swop the rooms over?

It's a very long story (there's a thread about it) involving our sentimental attachment to an armchair, that was meant to be going from Zoe's room in to the nursery, but then we couldn't get it in to the nursery. It sounds like a drastic solution but in the long run it really is the best solution. Just frustrating.

Can't you paint it yourselves? Painting is so easy...?
I'd be too impatient to wait until June and I wouldn't pay someone to paint a child's bedroom!

Hep, we only have 2 days together a week as H works away, most weekends are booked up now until June anyway. It's only £100 for the decorator to do both room and tbh by the time we've bought everything we would need it's just not worth doing it ourselves. I'd rather wait and have it all done in a day with no mess for me to clean up.

Ah makes sense then, I'm too impatient! June is so far off!
