Right I've done this twice before so should know but have just double checked my bag for tomorrow and I don't seem to have much in it.
Baby's stuff is separate so this is just for me but I have the essentials - nightie, pants, maternity pads, breast pads, nursing bra, dressing gown, slippers, cropped PJ trousers and vest tops, toiletries, camera, phone charger. Will pop toothbrush, hair brush and make up essentials in it in the morning.
I feel like the bag is empty and I should have more but not sure what
Not allowed to eat on the delivery suite so not overly fussed about snacks but as I'm going to the labour ward 1st for the prostin, we'll stop off tomorrow on the way in and get a few bits, and some magazines
Anything major I've forgotten?

Sports energy drinks...the still ones not fizzy....x

Chocolate. Tablet and charger. Carrier bags.

No point taking chocolate - it'll melt within 2 minutes!
Oh carrier bags and bobble a good shout, need to find my vaseline too cos I remember my lips got really dry last time with the G&A
Good idea Bexy but I can't stand energy drinks. I wouldn't be allowed it once on delivery anyway

Oh and face cooling spray was my other necessity!

That would be ideal in this heat Bexy, I' can imagine the hospital is going to be unbearably hot. Will try and get some tomorrow before I go in. Thanks!

Was going to say lip balm. All I wanted was that and water! Straws for your bottles. (Sorry if its been said, have posted before reading properly)

Mobile phone charger
Thanks MissusS, Abigail is always pinching my lip balm - she thinks it's lipstick so need to go and see if it's in her room lol.
Our hospital have straws so don't need to worry about that

Will pop that in in the morning HF, be gutted if I forget it cos the battery life in my phone is shocking!!

Another vote for mobile charger and camera.
Also don't forget to put first outfit in a separate bag (freezer bag ideal) so your H can just hip that out rather than faff trying to find a vest and hat and sleepsuit.

I need extra pj's after being induced as my waters didn't just break - they flooded the ward!!
17/07/2013 at 19:27
I've packed a few pairs of jammies anyway SC, just incase induction takes ages!!
They don't dress the babies straight away at our hospital anyway BG, they normally just wrap them in towels and then I've done it myself when up on the ward. In this heat I think he'll just be needing a vest anyway :-) good tip tho!

Are you taking shields?

Yep, packed just in case :-)
