i was just wondering what are the best bext stage car seats are? I’m currently not driving so when I need to get around the car seat will be moved from car to car. Is it best to stay away from one with an isofox base in this case? I’m completely clueless on what to get and need some help

Thanks so much for getting in touch - this is such a great question!
There are so many car seats out there, so it can be really confusing to choose the best one for you.
Group 1 car seats can usually be used up around age 4, but there are also loads of multistage car seats (Group 0+/1/2/3 or Group 1/2/3), that can work out great value as they can last as long as 12 years.
As you mention you will be moving the car seat around from car to car, it is definitely worth thinking about the weight of it, but also considering whether the cars it is being used in will have ISOFIX or not.
Some next stage car seats can be installed in the car using either ISOFIX or a 3-point seat belt, which can be a really useful feature if you need to use it in an older car without ISOFIX points.
Most cars from 2007 will have ISOFIX fittings though, and some car seats have ISOFIX connectors that tuck away inside the seat itself.
For loads more info, you can check out some of the best (and award-winning) car seats below:
There are a bunch of car seats below that can also be used rear-facing for longer, but it's worth bearing in mind that many of them do have bases/extending legs, which may not be ideal for your needs if you are frequently moving the seat between cars.
You may have also heard of the new i-Size regulations, which are basically safety standards around child car seats, that currently run alongside the older R44 standard.
i-Size requires children to sit rear-facing for longer (at least 15 months), have regulated side impact protection, be fitted with ISOFIX, and go on height rather than weight measurements.
