Hi everyone, our Lo has the runs and is quite sore down below like the poo has burnt her. Whats the best thing like cream you have tried if this has happened to your LO. I know fresh air to the area is great but she is so wriggly so we cant keep nappy off all the time. xx

metanium cream is good, although you may want to check that she hasnt developed thrush in which case you can get canesten over the counter, works a treat and clears up really quickly x

thanks ladies x i know its not thrush, just burnt area from the stomach acid in the poo i should think its on the outside area of her private and there is no discharge, i have been using sudocrem, the poo only has to be on there for a minute and it makes her all red again! Grrr

metanium is awesome stuff.. thats what i've used if cole's bum has been bad and it clears it up a treat. my friend works with special needs kids and thats what they use if any of their kids get sore.

Only thing is it smells and stains yellow so be careful when putting it on

i also use metanium , it also makes a really good barrier as well as clearing up the nappy rash really quick.

Hi i use bepathen (sp) on my boys as thers have been burning slightly with teething and i find a coupl of applications of this does the job also wiping with cotton wool and water when sore as the wipes can sting sometimes and again fresh air.

I also highly recommend metanium cream. It's wonderful stuff.
Sudocrem is OK as a barrier cream but it's rubbish at clearing up already sore or inflammed areas.
