    Thanks xx

Ethan had a cot bed too and i think we were a bit late converting it in to a bed (i was a bit preoccupied being pregnant)!. We took the first side off when Ethan was about 25 months. We did one side at a time over a few days. He was absolutly fine with it. At first we had a bed guard but now Amber in his cotbed, he has a little bed that the guard doesn't fit on but has only fallen out once!!

I do reccomend you doit to put a stairgate on her room otherwise you'll be waking up with a little face peering at you!!!

Thanks Tasha, don't think i will be doing it just yet, but just wanted a rough idea of what age to think about doing it!

Will definitly get a stair gate for her bedroom though when we do it!

definitely get a stairgate, as they do tend to wonder as soon as they realise they can get out. Tate had to move out of his cot into a little junior bed, which is lovely really cute, because we needed the cot for Luka, he was 20months.

    Hi Simone,

We didn't take the sides off Charl's cotbed until last month!! But as she was sleeping ok up to that point and hadn't worked out how to climb out we decided to leave it. She is now in her first bed as we have given the cotbed away and has not fallen out of it and we haven't got a bed guard up so i'm pleased about that. Also there is a stairgate on her door so if she gets out of bed she can't get out the room.

Don't worry about her age, do it when you feel happy about it.

hi simone, we took the sides off niamhs cotbed when she was 18 months old!! they say its best to do it when they can climb out of the cot to prevent accidents.
also, we were expecting tara and wanted to get her used to a bed.
    hope you are both well
