There's lots of illnesses you're supposed to be immune to once you have them once.That's the basic idea behind a live vaccine.You can still get these illnesses more than once.
Usually if you get something your body builds an immunity to that particular illness,so in many cases you won't get it again,sometimes you might.Two of my children got german measles despite the vaccine,Arthur had it three times in all.Each time was a little less serious,don't know if that's always the case.Sometimes it takes more than one bout of an illness to build up an immunity.
