    Hello toddler mums!

How much milk should our toddlers be having now? Joshua doesnt have bottles anymore but he drinks out of the avent sporster beaker. He has milk in the morning and before bed and then water the rest of the time. Obviosuly he has plenty of cheese and yoghurt but I wasnt sure how many oz of milk he should have? At the moment he probably has 8oz a day of full fat organic cows milk. The thing is he's not bothered he'll drink milk if I give it to him but he's quite happy with his water so I want to make sure he's drinking enough!

Thanks in advance, Vicky and Joshua xxx

Lily's 17 months now and has a beaker full of milk with brekkie and another with supper but she doesn't always drink it all. I'm not sure how many oz it is but it's a small mug full. I use milk in her weetabix and give her yoghurt and cheese through the day. She usually has water as a drink in the day or sometimes a bit of dilute juice.

Apparently it's not good at this age to have too much milk with meals cos it makes toddlers feel full so they eat less and get less nutrients. It sounds like you've got it about right to me.

Isaac is 17 months old and refuses point blank to drink any milk, he has loads of cheese and yoghurts though so I am not worried about it.

Thanks girls! Got to tell you all this- I went shopping today and I left a bag of food on the floor whilst I put the rest of it away...I turned around and Joshua was sat there eating a yoghurt with his hands from the bag! How cheeky! xxx
