    OMG I am so annoyed!

I went to work yesterday, 12:30 til 8:30 so OH had to give Max (12months old) his tea and put him to bed. Simple?

I got home and OH's mate was here. The flat was a complete mess. There was loads of washing up in the sink, and Max's toys were all over the floor in the living room. In the kitchen was the remains of a very spicy pizza, and loads of empty boxes of "party nibbles" type things. So I thought what did Max eat?

It tyurns out he hadn't had any milk all afternoon and probably nothing else to drink, and for tea, while OH and his mate were stuffing themselves full of pizza and rubbish, all Max got was a few biscuits!!! I went in the room and Max was asleep in a t shirt (only a t shirt - no vest or anytyhing) and he had a nice big breakfast this morning and extra cuddles.

I feel horrible leaving Max but i need the money. it's bordering on neglect

    Oh yes that sounds familiar!!!
Oh is ,well a complete hopeless case when it comes to kids over 6months old(give him a baby and I dont worry atall). I very rarley leave anything to chance, now days I write him lists of instructions and make sure my eldest knows what to tell him if his dad cocks up(and I get to hear about it afterwards too).
The one HUGE rule we do have and thats no mates round in evening as its family/kids time until they are in bed . Especially when there is only one parent doing the babysitting. Men do tend to wonder back into single life when left unattended for even a few hours.
So, personally I would give him a good talking to. Tell him exactly what is expected of him as a DAD and when you do have to work write down the routine and food menu for your lo. With clear instructions. I know it sounds really immature but I wouldn't want my kids to be neglected(I use that word cos I cant think of another, Im not saying your lo is though)
I'm sorry to sound harsh but sometimes thats what it takes.
