Lewis had his MMR 3 weeks ago, the hv did say to watch out for the measles rash etc etc, just this past 2 days he hasn't been himself at all, very sleepy and really clingy to me, it looks as if he is full of the cold but he hasn't got it, my mum tickled him today on his groin area he usually really likes that but he started crying, could it be mumps? nothing seems to be swollen but he is really hot to touch but he doesn't have a temperature, well not that i know of he wouldn't leave the thermomemetor long enough anywhere!

But could it be mumps but only caused by the MMR? not full blown mumps - does that make sense?

hi hun i did hear from some wear that this can happen and i means that your lo body is fighting the jab( which is good coz it means that his body is fighting the mmr viuse and that your lo is building up his immune system) and for some reason the symtoms of this jab can take longer to show then the other jabs . give your lo lots to drink and some calpol. but if you are at all worryed then phone nhs direct 0845 4647 or your doctors so that they can check your lo over. i hope your lo feels better soon. x.
