Toddlers & Older Children <

Hi all. We have just been trying to move Ava (10 months) into Mia's (nearly 2 and a half) room. So far we have had a few shakey nights with 4am rescue missions of Mia getting in our bed so she has a bit of peace. Does anyone have any tips as I am shattered and I don't want either of the girls getting stressed or upset any more then they have to with change. Also, we are moving their rooms soon as they'll be having our room which is bigger so tips would be handy for that too. Never a dull moment in this house. Lol.

We share in two of our bedrooms.
I think when we first put the baby in we tried to keep both children's routines as normal as possible. We've had a few room changes and each one brings a little silliness and messing about at bedtime, but they quckly get used to the new bedtime arrangements.
At first I used to put the toddler down first,do bath, story as normal and brought the baby up after his bottle once the toddler was settled and asleep. As the baby stopped having the bottle at bedtime,I included them in the toddler's bedtime routine. We did a bath together, story together, then bed together.
When we moved house,Arthur had his own room but we always made it clear it wasn't just his room but his and Merlin's,even though Merlin wasn't born yet and wouldn't sleep there for another few months. If there are any issues with why's she sleeping in my room, you may find that a new room for both will help.Maybe Mia can help move their things in.
Hope things settle down soon.

Thank you. She made it 9pm until 6am so it's improving. I suppose we only moved her in on Friday night. We've taken them to The Deep (local fish place with huge tanks over 3 floors) and then round some shops and the to the park to feed the birds and squirrels so they are both sound asleep now and will hopefully both kip right through. I've been buying little treats and matching things for their room when they evict us to the loft. Lol. Peppa Pig room plaque, light switch sticker, 3 canvas pics and light shade so hoping they enjoy their new little pad together. Mia's quite easy going really. Ava's just at the clingy stage were its the end of the world if she can't see me but she is getting better. Fingers crossed for tonight.

Hope it went well Sym,we're all swapping rooms soon, the minute Evan sleeps through for at least a week, the lads will have our room and we'll have smaller one! It worked really well,Tom and Jc sharing, but they were younger than your girls, maybe that's why!
Lord knows how 3 of them will get on!!!!!! The rom sounds gorgeous hun,all peppa, sure the girls will love it! I'm undecided on football theme,Tom wants ben 10,think bit old for Jc and Evan, and as they all seem to love football, that should be an easy theme that's hopefully going to last a while!
