    Hi ladies

Maiya was sick in the night on Tuesday. She didn't make any noise in the night so we didn't discover it until the morning!! She just threw up out the side of the cot bed and went back to sleep. I have cleaned it with soap and water, fragrance disinfectant wipes, fabreze and just attacked it with a mild solution of bleach. It still stinks!!!! what can I do/use to get the smell out. Maiya didn't sleep well last night (despite being fine all day). Am sure it's because her room smelled soooooooooo bad!!!

    any tips???? thanks

How about one of those carpet stain remover foams that you rub in then leave to dry and then hoover up? Might get out anything that soaked in?

I thoroughly sympathise with you...my two lo's have had a sickness bug all week and my living room carpets been in the line of fire. I've been like you and used disinfectant etc but can still smell it. I'm borrowing my brother-in-laws Vax tomorrow and am hoping that will shift it! x

Thanks for the replies. I bought some bicarb of soda and it's totally cleared away the pong (i used two tubs). The first I sprinkled over the clean carpet, left for two hours and then hovered. that got rid of 99% of the smell. I think sprinled the other tub over before bed and then hoover it up this morning. Smell all gone. Even got right down and sniffed the carper close up!!

    would defo recommend this!!!

el pinko you beat me to it..
I use Bicarb for loads of stuff. Cleaning the fridge, microwave and for getting rid of pongs.

I found some pound coins the other day that for soem reason were black. i left them in bicarb for a few hours and they are like new.. its cheap and its fab stuff.
