i brought jacks toddler bed when he was 16mnths, mainly because i was hoping to avoid buying another cot when lola outgrew her crib, we put it up in his room, leaving the cot up to, and he chose the bed we had a couple of nights with a slight cry and getting up but did rapid return and he loves his bed, we did keep his music he had on his cot, a projector which sits on a bedside cabinet and a vtech lamb that lights up he has on his pillow, so he had some familiar bits, its up to you when you feel ready my sister was nearly 3 when she moved, best of luck xxx

If you're not needing the cot for another,I'd leave it as long as possible. There's nothing to be gained if Millie's happy and settled in her cot.
Mine have all been at least two before we changed, usually when they got too big.We never put them into junior beds, they went straight to a full size bed from the cot.

Hiah,Tom went in junior bed at 15mth,simply because I needed the cotbed for Jc,and I didn't want him associating the baby with pinching his cot.
Many mums at playgroup were horrified with me so I'll just point out that he does have a gro-bag sleeping bag so he couldn't really get out,and a lindam bed guard.
Tom loved it instantly, and takes after his dad, loves his pit always been a good sleeper. I wouldn't rush if millie is settled, you're in no hurry so leave it until she outgrows it. Think that's what I'd have done if hadn't been pregnant again. Good luck for the transition whenever it may be x

Makes perfect sense,I originally wanted less than a year, for ome bizarre reason, happy with my gap,sad there will be a bigger gap if I have any more.
It is hard work but I'm guessing it could be harder with bigger gap and smaller!!! Just loved our midwifes face when big fella brought Tom in to see me in hospital-he'd not long started walking properly by himself-she was like eyes on stalks'are you mad' look!!!!!!!
Well mine will either be best buds are fighting over a lass in future-same if there was 3 year between them I guess!

my midwife was brilliant her son was the same age as jack so we gossiped about our boys alot, she was lovely and my other one had 8 in 9yrs 11mnths !!! so she didnt bat an eyelid at my age gap! Jack had been walking for 4mnths when lola appeared so seemed less of a baby, but was in so many ways, hes been great and hes so sweet with her if she gets upset he gets her bunny and dummy and pats her!!
