Getting Pregnant <
Trying to conceive

I am very much new to this whole 'charting ovulation' thing as I have been on the contraceptive pill what feels like my whole life! But I finally stopped it and I am just getting to know my menstrual cycle now!
I have had two normal periods & missed 2 periods completely since stopping the pill. I have had spotting that was dark and lasted for a week straight - I actually wondered if it was Implantation Bleeding but it wasn't.
Over the past few days I have been charting all my symptoms & I have noticed an increase in cervical mucus which is very wet & like egg white. Also, my body temperature dropped to 36.2c today which is odd as I am normally away up at 36.8c. Finally, I have noticed an increase in libido haha which can only mean one thing - that mother nature is forming a pretty little egg!
Me & My partner are not actively trying for a baby however, we have had unprotected sex on occasion so we both know the 'risks' involved with this & are happy if a little bundle of joy was the outcome.
My symptoms fluctuate a lot right now because my hormones are going crazy! I have had everything from nausea, back ache, head ache, bloating, flatulence, heart burn to cramping, spotting and mood swings. All the symptoms of pregnancy but I am not pregnant. My body is currently in turmoil as my periods have been irregular and I am currently 2 months late. But I get a strong feeling that I am ovulating currently! If I am there is a small possibility that I may become pregnant as me & the man had unprotected sex throughout this week & we did use the good old 'pull out method' which doesn't work, we all know this but it does reduce the chances of conceiving by a minute amount.
I think the problem is when women come to this site they think they're pregnant or hope to be (and some actually are!) but the annoying thing with pregnancy is that the symptoms are identical to that of being due aunty flow (your period). The only true way to know is a positive test however sometimes its too early to tell and we all want answers now right?
My advice is to be patient and when that fails to see your doctor straight away. I think its very normal to experience pregnancy symptoms when stopping the pill as your body is trying its hardest to ovulate again.
However this is just my story so far & I will definitely update this thread. I am interested to see what actually happens to my body :') I have no idea but I like to think of this thread as my personal diary.
If anyone has any questions do feel free to comment here :) xxx
