Morning all, how's everyone?
Lottie - just wanted to send you vibes for your consultant appointment today x
AFM - Not much new really. Busy week planned at work. Back to WW tonight and I reckon I've gained half a stone!
Hello to all who follow x

Tayto - Sorry af arrived I hope she is leaving quickly! I just read your last post on last weeks thread, what are you taking this cycle and what is it meant to help with?
AFM - After feeling positive this cycle I'm feeling really miserable today and just fed up in general. I'm fed up with my body doing something different every cycle to make me think this is it when it isn't grrrrr. Also been making lots of mistakes at work which is making me feel stressed when my job isn't normally stressful at all.
Sorry for the moan, I hope to be back later a bit cheerier! x

My first weekly chat thread!
Tayto - hope WW goes well tonight. I had planned to start my "no snacking" regime today but I am working from home which makes it so much harder - I've resisted so far though (yup, I know, it's only 10.45!).
I'm hoping to get lots of work done today to make the rest of the week slightly more manageable. I actually don't have any plans for this week in the evenings but that's actualyl quite nice as could really do with some relaxation time - plus should help with my healthy eating/exercising!
19/01/2015 at 11:31
Tayto - fingers crossed for WW. Hope AF is settling now.
Lottie - I hope you get on alright today. x
Lulu - I'm not surprised you're fed up - hugs coming your way. x
Pook - welcome to the thread! Good luck with your no snacking this week. Just seen your other thread, glad you are on a roll with starting tests. We are here for all the handholding you may require.
AFM - spotting started Sunday night so fully expect AF to arrive on time. Feel a bit blah but onwards and upwards!
Hi to all who follow. x

Lulu - I'm taking Evening Primrose Oil (EPO) & Guaifenesin - both are meant to help with Cervical Mucus. I have struggled to find any EWCM except on one cycle where I was taking some very expensive supplements and I really don't want to try them again. I guess I want to give it a few more shots before I give up and go to the Docs at the one year mark! Sorry you're feeling down - I can't imagine how I'll be when I've been TTC'ing as long as you have. Have a good moan - you're allowed xx
Pook - welcome to our little thread! Best of luck with the no snacking when WFH - I'm dire when I do it hence I prefer to be in the office!
Sally - Damn the spotting - have you spoken to anyone about why you get spotting before AF? I think Lulu does too - is this normal?
AFM - Just back from pilates at the gym - the instructor commented about what great movement I have in the knee which she figured was great considering it's only 7 mths since the op - yayy!
19/01/2015 at 16:16
Lulu - I could have written what you have. I'm feeling ok about TTC (will explain in my AFM bit) but I totally know where you're coming from. I'm also making mistakes at work too, one of them was pulled up in front of the boss today by the two in-house bullies. Sending huge hugs, lovely. Where are you in terms of your plan? I can't remember what stage you were at?
Pook - good luck with the no snacking! I know what you mean, it's so difficult when you work from home! Crisps are my downfall.
Sally - Damn spotting! I used to get it too, my gyno said that it just sometimes happens - he wasn't concerned. But if you worry about it, get yourself down to the docs. I think it's something to do with the shift in hormones.
Tayto - sorry AF arrived. EPO didn't do much for me in terms of EWCM but I know others who speak fondly of it. What has seemed to make a difference for me is upping my intake of vitamin C. I take a tablet each morning, though can't remember the dosage off the top of my head. Great news about the knee!
AFM - repeat SA today ... it came back normal! NORMAL! So the lady said to H on the phone that we're looking at IUI. I'm a little relieved as it's less invasive than IVF and it looks like I was right about the vitamins! I'm not saying that to him of course (in that I was right), I'm just happy they've done something. I know diddly squat about IUI as was convinced we were going for IVF but I'm going to read up on it tonight. We actually DTD around ov time the other night so who knows, we could still have done it .... not getting my hopes up though and still consider myself very much in the DTC camp :-)
In other news, I hate my job and am prepping for my Wednesday interview today - am feeling bullied by two other people there. I'm also going to express my interest in another job which could be created at the company, it's a job I know I'd be good at and have worked with the team before so am keeping my fingers crossed in case Wednesday doesn't work out. All I know is that I can't work with those two anymore. Oh, and Amsterdam was brilliant - cannot believe I've never been before!
19/01/2015 at 21:20
Tayto - great news on your knee! Are you thinking of doing the three peaks this year or did I imagine it?! I hope that you get on ok at WW tonight.
Lulu - sorry that you are feeling down. I also know where you are coming from with things at work as I've been there too. I think that it's because I'm struggling to concentrate properly with everything else that is going on. Sending you a massive hug X
Pook - welcome to the weekly chat thread! Good luck with your no snacking regime! I am going to start a food diary next week as I'm starting some sessions with a personal trainer. I have a horrible feeling that I snack more than I think I do, so seeing it in black and white might be a shock to the system. I hope that you have a nice relaxing week!
SallyLou - sorry to hear that spotting has started. I've not had it myself but agree that it's a good idea to go and see the doc if you are worried.
Enjayee - fabulous news on your H's SA and yay to the vitamins! Glad that you had a great time in Amsterdam and good luck for Wednesday! I will be keeping everything crossed for you.
AFM - unfortunately our appointment today was pretty much a waste of time :-( The clinic was running late and I thought that we'd be seeing a consultant that my GP had mentioned to me previously but we ended up seeing a completely random doctor. She had virtually no background on me so I had to go through everything again and I had to tell her that I had already had some blood tests for clotting disorders. She didn't have the results to hand so had to go off and find them and she also didn't have the results of the tissue sample from the latest mc. The good(?) news is that I don't have any clotting issues but then she went on to say that in a high proportion of cases there was no explanation. I asked what the treatment plan would be if there was no explanation and she basically said that there wasn't one and it was up to us if we wanted to try again as we might be lucky next time. The one good thing to come out of it is that I now have an ultrasound booked for Sunday to look at the shape of my womb and my ovaries etc. My follow up appointment is at the beginning of March and I'll get the results of the scan then along with the results of the tissue sample. I think that we'll then make a decision on what to do next but I think that we'll end up trying to see someone privately as I feel like we are getting nowhere atm.

Hi Everyone- Hope you don't mind but I thought I'd like to get involved in your weekly chat :-)
Lottie- I'm sorry your appointment didn't go as you'd hoped, and how strange they should ask you if you're related! They ask you that when you're booking to get married, so you could have said well we couldn't have got married if we were lol. I do find it very odd in both circumstances. I hope your ultrasound goes well on Sunday and you get further with your follow up appointment.
Tayto- Sorry to hear AF showed up, hope WW went ok tonight
Lulu- Sending positive vibes I'm sorry you're feeling miserable, I know what you mean it's like your body keeps moving the goal posts (so to speak!) all the time. Hope you feel more positive again soon.
Pook- Hello fellow newbie :-) Hope you got all the work done that you wanted to, so you can have a more relaxing week ahead.
Sally- Hope AF keeps away despite the spotting!
Enjayee- I'm sorry I don't mean to be ignorant but what does SA mean? It sounds positive anyway & you know now what route you'll be taking, fingers crossed for you and hope all goes well. I'm sorry that you're having problems with work & hope everything goes well for you on Wednesday.
AFM- Well I don't know where I am. Thank you to whoever recommended F.F (think it was Tayto?) I downloaded the app but it has got me all confused! Started temping this cycle & did first OPK for this cycle on Saturday. OPK negative, temp all over the place up & down even though I stuck to doing it as soon as I woke up. According to F.F this morning I'm now 3dpo, despite no ewcm & negative OPK?! So decided to dtd this morning anyway and it ended up being painful for me :( pain in my abdomen & what felt like left ovary. I had Drs appt on Friday for something different but going to discuss that with her instead, had some discomfort all day. So we're putting off dtd until we've seen Dr, doubtful our efforts this morning amounted to much. In other news & slightly more positive I have a job interview on Thursday with the promise of more hours then I am working now.
20/01/2015 at 08:32
Tayto - that's great about your knee. Well done! I have an unrelated appointment at the docs on Thursday so I figured I would mention the spotting then. I'm sure like the others it won't be anything but I might as well check while I'm there!
Enjayee - thats amazing news about the SA. Sorry about your job, it's horrible when you can't work with people isn't it? I have my fingers crossed for your other job opportunities though.
Lottie - Sorry you didn't get on as well as you'd hoped - hope the U/S goes well on Sunday. Can't blame you for thinking of private care, it does sound like a shambles.
Hi MrsL.G - welcome to the thread! You could flash your FF chart if you wanted and we can have a look for you? I'm new to temping myself but I know we have a couple of experts around. Sorry you had some pain though - hope you get some answers on Friday.
AFM - just waiting for AF. Had a busy day yesterday at work, and still feeling coldy so it was tough trying to drag myself in today!
Hi to all who follow, I'll try and pop back later. x
20/01/2015 at 08:43
Morning! How's everyone today?
Enjayee - That's excellent news on your H's SA & the plan for IUI. What's the plan next then? Sorry your job is so crap - sending you tons of vibes for your interview tomorrow. What did you do in Amsterdam/what was the best parts about it? I've never been but am interested!
Lottie - I'm so sorry to hear the appointment was a waste of time; I can't even begin to imagine how frustrated you are. Best of luck for the ultrasound & I agree your best bet at this stage is to go private. Ugh on the related question but I guess it is one they just have to ask to rule it out! And yes, I am doing the Yorks 3 peaks this year - looking like May now so I have that to aim for to keep fit!
MrsL.G - FF will estimate the best it can based on the info you have so, when it's your first cycle, it can be a hit and miss. On my first cycle, FF said I ov'ed on CD 14 and had a LP of 9 days which panicked me however, I now know that I have a dip at 3 to 5DPO so FF was figuring my ov at that dip and not 3 days earlier! Stick with it and it will improve - I promise! Definitely discuss pain during sex with your Doc - I do get a little bit but my tests showed nothing so I've found ways to do it and not be painful! Good luck for the job interview - what type of job is it for?
Also, SA means Sperm Analysis - if you need to go for tests, your H would be sent to do an SA - it basically checks how many he has, how 'good' they are and how quick they move (in a terribly basic nutshell!)
AFM - WW was a disaster - I've gained 4lbs :-( Oh well, back on the good road again now anyway! Nothing else from me.
20/01/2015 at 08:45
Ha, was so long doing my reply I missed you Sally! Definitely mention the spotting to your Doc - just in case anyway! Hope your cold gets better x
20/01/2015 at 09:12
Tayto - could be AF related, that 4lbs? My weight fluctuates like crazy when she's in town.
Mrs LG - FF needs data before it starts to 'know' you. So if you keep using it religiously it'll soon get to know your patterns - I wouldn't go by the first cycle. Hope your appointment at the docs goes ok.
Sally - hope you feel better soon!
Lottie - sorry that your appointment was a waste of time, how horribly frustrating :-( I would definitely go private if you have the means to do so. Things move SO much quicker!
AFM - nothing else much to report - I spoke to my boss about the bullying email and she said she'd already noticed it and was already planning to have words. So we'll see what happens - I reckon I might get it in the neck again from them but I have found out that the mistake wasn't that huge, it wasn't my sole responsibility and it can easily be fixed. Turns out my boss has had to have words with this person before in terms of how she speaks to people on email. She believes it might be pregnancy hormones but I hope it's not - I don't want to be a cow when I'm pregnant!! And I've never known anyone turn this nasty whilst pregnant! So we'll see.
20/01/2015 at 09:22
Pook - Hope the no snacking goes well.
Sally - Sorry the spotting arrived, I get spotting too which is really annoying but after lots of tests is nothing. Definitely worth mentioning to your doctor though just in case.
Tayto - Great news on your knee! Sorry about your weight gain but I agree with Enjayee could it be to do with AF? I'm always slightly heavier around time of the month (as it isn't bad enough lol).
Enjayee - Sorry work is rubbish but glad your boss has noticed it. That is great news about your h! Will you try naturally for a few months first or go straight to IUI?
Lottie - Sorry your appointment didn't go as well as hoped, lol at asking if you were related though!
Mrs LG - I hope you manage to find out where you are soon. Good luck with the job interview!
AFM - Thank you for your kind words yesterday I'm feeling less miserable today! I booked an appointment for acupuncture in a few weeks time I'm scared of needles eeek!
Hi to all who follow!
20/01/2015 at 11:38
I'm going to go straight to IUI. I'll be honest, I'm a little nervous that the result was a fluke and that the one he deposits for insemination won't be great. I don't think I could take more months of wishing and hoping - I want the doctor's help so I know that things are moving.
Hope your acupuncture goes well, Lulu. What's the latest with you, if you don't mind me asking? x
20/01/2015 at 13:57
Enjayee - I have noticed I gain a lb or two when AF is around but, to be honest, I was really bad with my diet over xmas so that's more to blame than AF! Re the bullying, the lady in question, she's preggers now then? Does she know your story? Good that your boss is going to get on the case - I hope she gets it sorted. Although I'd much rather you get this new job - it sounds a lot better than your current one! Have you done some more research about IUI? What does it entail exactly?
Lulu - Good to hear you're feeling better. Good luck with the acupuncture; if I recall correctly, veecee & dollyp got on great with it so I hope you do too. Have you stopped the reflexology?
AFM - Had an appointment with a chiropodist as I've been having some discomfort with my feet. A kind of numbing sensation when I walk which I was attributing to not looking after my feet when I had the knee op. He's referred me back to my doc for a huge set of tests but told me not to be nervous! He's said it's neurological - something to do with the nerves in my feet being all messed and could be as a result of something else - like diabetes, liver/kidney function, B12 deficiency etc etc - the list is endless. Although it could be nothing too so I'm not worried yet. It's definitely not anything to do with foot care or the knee op. I'm seeing my doc on Thursday about the painful ovulation and cramps in the run up to AF so I'll mention this to him too and see what he says.
20/01/2015 at 14:25
Enjayee - I don't blame you for going straight to IUI, if your H has been taking the vitamins I'm sure it wouldn't have been a fluke, when is your next appointment? No I don't mind you asking at all :-) we are going to go to our NHS doc once this cycle finishes (this will be the 3rd after hycosy) and just see if there is any chance we can be reffered for treatment, it is a possibility as my hycosy was inconclusive so keeping fingers crossed as it will be a strain if we have to pay for it. If not though we are looking to start IVF privately in the summer, hopefully a miracle will happen before then (there is always a chance right?!) but I'm trying to be prepared for treatment.
Tayto - I hope your tests all come back ok for you foot vibes for you. No I stopped the reflexology as even though I enjoyed it I didn't think it was making much of a difference.
21/01/2015 at 08:29
Morning all - happy Hump day!
Lulu - Hope your Doc can refer you instead of having to go private. I'd push for more tests because of the inconclusive HyCoSy - can't hurt to ask, right? Did you enjoy the reflexology anyway? I'm thinking of doing it just for stress relief but might try acupuncture too!
AFM - CD6 and started the CB digi OPKs today. FF seems to be having fights with my internet on my phone so I've tried to update it on my pc at work but the site is blocked! Bugger anyway
21/01/2015 at 09:24
Tayto - I could get more tests but I'm not sure I really want them, I know that sounds strange but from what I've read online it is possible to come back exactly the same result so I don't want to put myself through more pain and stress when there is a good possibility I won't get any more info that what I've already got. Yes I really liked the refelxology, the main reason I stopped was because the person I saw was on the other side of town to where I live it was getting stressful getting home in time to get in the car and driver over there and she didn't do weekends. I would definitely reccomend it.
Nothing to report from me today. Hi to all who follow x
