Trying to conceive

Since we've had a bunch of newbies join us in recent times, I thought it would be nice to do an intros thread that everyone can participate in - just to get to know each other better!
Me, well, I'm tayto, I'm 33, been married to my OH since May 2013. I'm originally from Co. Clare in Ireland; moved to Oxon in 2011. I work as an IT Project Manager in a Software Development team for a metal packaging company and have recently been promoted to Team Leader. Started our TTC journey (officially) in May last year, we've now had 10 cycles and nothing happening so we may seek help in May although I have other issues so may see a doc sooner. We've no pets but are currently thinking about getting a dog - I grew up with them and really miss the companionship. I'm surrounded by babies as all my sisters fell quite easily & I have 5 nieces & nephews!
I think that's about it for me - you go!

Great idea Tayto :) (again)
I am on and off here ATM but will add my bit so people will recognise me haha!
I am Chocolate Cupcake. 26 and live in Dorset. I am a housewife after a nasty accident. Married to Mr CC who is 30 and a prison officer!
My TTC journey started in June 2013 officially after we got married, I was diagnosed with PCOS when I was 17 along time ago!
I started taking inositol 3 x 650mg a day! I luckily managed to fall pregnant very quickly after no sign of a BFP previously!
Had an okay pregnancy up until 19 weeks when we sadly lost him in December. We then tried again pretty quickly after loosing him and fell again in April again after taking Inositol for only 1 month! I was monitored a bit more closely checkonh my cervix etc but sadly at 20+6 I lost him again in Aug!
I have a plan put in place for next time with a few things to do before we even start trying! I am taking a few months off from temping and TTC to loose some weight and also so we can get these extra things done before we try again, also waiting for hubby to get transferred closer to ours. So I am aiming for TTC in June!
Hope fully 3rd time lucky for us!
So if you need advice on PCOS, Late Losses, Inositol and Gestational diabeties and cervix checks lol then come and find me lol!
Sorry that turned into a massive essay!
Looking forward too hearing more about you all!

I'm SallyLou - I'm in the last 6 months of my twenties (eek!) and live in Nottinghamshire, with my husband and 3 cats.
I've been married since August '14 and have been TTC No. 1 since then (6 cycles so far). I currently work full time in projects for a software firm.
That's about it from me so far!

Good idea there does seem to be a few newbies around :-)
I'm Lulu, 31 and been married 3 years. We started ttc in June / July 2013, went to the docs in June last year after having no luck at all but the NHS in our area will not do full testing until 2 years so we decided to have all the tests done privately. All came back ok so we are in the unexplained catagory which is nice to know there is nothing wrong but also very frustrating as it still isn't happening. We have decided to try a few more months before moving on to IVF, we'll try and get it on the NHS but if not will have to go private which I know we are very lucky to be able to do. And that is about it, fingers crossed for all of us this year x

Great idea, tayto :-)
I'm Enjayee, just turned 34 (eek!) and have been married since April 2013. We started TTC in September 2013 and, 16 months on, still no luck. We were referred for tests last July and due to timing of cycles etc, it took a bit of time but my H was diagnosed with low count, motility and morphology. We were referred for IVF back in December but would have had to have waited until April. Due to my age and the fact that we've been waiting for so long (and I am impatient!), we decided to go private. Tomorrow we'll find out what our plan is - whether that's IUI or IVF. We could start treatment in as little as two weeks but I'm not going to hold my breath as I don't want to be disappointed!
There have been some lovely ladies who have gone onto have BFPs and healthy babies after going through IVF/FET so I am quietly confident and am not about to give up.
Fingers crossed indeed for all of us this year. Xxxx

I'm Pook, 32 and married since August 2012. Came off the pill in April 2013 and have been TTC since then I guess, but only got my period in Jan 2014, so its "officially" been a year.
We live in Essex, work in London, No pets, OH wants a dog but I'm scared of them!
Looking forward to getting to know you all :-)

I'm Swill, 32 & married in April 2014. Very new to this journey of TTC, only started trying in December '14.
We live in Leeds and have one naughty cat. I make pretty good Yorkshire Puddings xxx

I love this idea.
I am 21, my husband is 24. We married in July 2014. Very new to our TTC journey as only started properly trying in November and this month is my first proper cycle as coming off BC messed me around a bit.
I'm the eldest of seven children so always imagined having a large family myself however H is the eldest of just two and insists we are stopping after then.......we shall see about that ;)
We also have two naughty cats and live in Wiltshire. Looking forward to getting to know you all and lovely reading about you all above. Fingers crossed that 2015 is the year for all of us xxx

Well I'm 41. Got married to OH in May 2012. My OH is 47. Live in Berkshire.
I work as a project manager at a Pharmaceutical company in Clinical research.
Decided that we should seriously ttc this year. I'm not getting any younger and worried my age could cause problems.
Here's hoping 2015 brings the pitter patter of tiny feet for us all

Popped on more to lurk after a loonnngg absence but this lovely thread tempted me to dip my toes! Hello everyone - nice to 'meet' and read about you all.
SallyLou - I'm in Nottingham, just on the edge, so probably pretty near you!
I'm Lamby, 34 (yuck) live with my H and our little boy, S, 19 months, conceived through ICSI. We are currently TTC after an ectopic pregnancy a few months ago which left us heartbroken and me with one less tube. We are planning on doing IVF in the nearish future though need to get in touch with the fertility clinic. Obviously very lucky to have our little boy, we would love to give him a brother or sister, if at all possible.
Otherwise, I like making and eating cake and write on a very part time basis, mainly about fertility, pregnancy, babies and the funny art of trying to be a parent!
Look forward to getting to know you all :)

Hi everyone :)
What a lovely idea, especially for us newbies :)
I'm Louise, also from Nottingham! (I'm on what I like to call the Derby side of Nottingham lol-also I'm moving, not too far from where I am but far enough for it to be a Derby postcode!)
H & I got married September '14, I'm 33 & he's 47. Been TTC since our wedding but only came off BC just before then. When I was last on I was on here I was on 2ww but AF showed up 5 days before it was due, (last tuesday) disappointing but at least I'm back on a 32 wk cycle as opposed to the 40-42 it was. So I know it's early days for us really but we're impatient & mindful of our ages!
Other info is, as said above we will be moving soon- H is renovating a bungalow, we have been renting since we got married as it really was uninhabitable back then! But the house we are renting has been sold & we need to be out within the next 8 weeks, but to be fair we can't really afford to live here much longer anyway! So we've nearly got 2 rooms finished that we will be able to live in & have the rest blocked off while it gets finished. I'm currently working as a shop assistant but need more hours, so looking for another job. Hobbies wise I love knitting & crafty/ making stuff and gardening. I also like to combine the 2 as I enjoy willow weaving & making seasonal wreaths & decorations.
All the best for everyone & hope we all get the BFPs we're hoping for this year :)

Hi MrsL.G! ooh small world! We are on the derby side too, in Bramcote! Good luck with your move and FX for you and TTC :)

I've not been here for ages, but now officially back on the TTC journey, so here I am! QC, 36, one nearly 2 year old son. I had a fairly difficult pregnancy and birth in some ways, but willing to do it again, although very nervous. Cranking up the TTC as of this month, so fingers crossed all goes well. Lovely to "meet" you all, and here's to lots of happy announcements over the next few months!

Hi all Luna here, I'm 28 nearly 29. I have a beautiful daughter who is 16 months old. Sadly lost our second baby in November last year at 5 weeks gestation, and we have been ttc'ing since. Xxx

Great idea Tayto! Hello to any newbies :-)
I'm Lottie, I've just turned 40 and have been married since June 2013. I work in IT for a publisher and live in the midlands with my H and cat! We started TTC straight after the wedding but unfortunately I had three mcs last year. We have our first appointment with a consultant tomorrow though, so I am hoping that we will come away with a plan and some answers to my many, many questions!
I hope that 2015 is a great year for us all X

Any news lottie?

Hi! Some of you may know me already - I certainly know you ;) I feel a bit of a fraud being on here at the moment as we're not officially TTC yet - but we have all the wheels in motion to start our IVF in the Spring (we have our first appointment with the consultant at the beginning of March!) Anyway - my mind is consumed with TTC, hence my being here!
I'm 35, have lived in Manchester for the last 13 years but am originally from Milton Keynes. My wife and I got married in Oct 2014 and will start reciprocal IVF soon, in that she's going through the IVF but I'm going to carry the baby. We were supposed to start straight after the wedding but there was a delay after I had a dodgy smear last year and ended up having to have treatment. The follow up smear is booked in for next week, so long as the results of that are fine, we're good to get started (so long as aaaaaaall the other tests/checking that comes with IVF are also fine!)
Lovely to meet you all - looking forward to sharing our journeys together :)
