Morning all, how are we?
I'm going start a few "distraction" threads today if that's ok with everyone - it would be nice if everyone joined in - both with posting new threads and replying to those already started. The idea is to have a bit of fun and distract all of us from TTC stuff.
AFM - Nothing happening on TTC front. Busy day ahead of me at work, got Pilates at the gym today. Cold still here and can't seem to shake it :-(
Hello to all who follow x

Tayto - I am not sure how much I will be around today! But will try and join in as much as possible :)
Enjoy the Pilates! Hope your cold buggers off soon!
AFM - I have been to my GP! Got a prescription for folic acid! Yay! Will start that next month! - Boo he asked me to have a smear damn him! Think it popped up on my screen so got to add that to my list of things to do before TTC! (Hopefully will tie in nicely with the swab?!
Hi to all that follow!

CC - start a thread too - anything at all! Excellent on the FA - how many mg are they? Why did you have to get a script? I know how you feel about the smear, I'm hoping to get mine tied in with the swab I'm doing on Friday as well!

I have just replied to yours so will get thinking!
They are high dose so 5mg's! Hence having to get a script :)! He's pretty good GP gives me what I want haha! I haven't had a smear yet so I shouldn't complain really lol!
I did not know that you can now get a smear anytime in your cycle unless you are bleeding! It's not just the middle bit anymore! (He told me today)

Oh really? I didn't know that - I thought it had to be in the middle due to hormonal changes potentially masking an issue or showing up something that isn't an issue?

Tayto: enjoy pilates. When i was a gym member i loved body balance which was pilates/yoga/tai chi.
CC: interesting about the smear test. I was told middle of cycle too or at least two weeks after CD1.
AFM: Not a lot happening here. CD16, no signs of ovulation really so think we're in for a long cycle again. Had counselling this morning, seems fairly positive about TTC and reassured me there was plenty of support for me. Psychiatric appointment on the 9th march, so will talk about medication then. Considering a trip to GP about PCOS as well, but might see how we go on first.
After deciding this weekend we were starting TTC, D got over excited and started rearranging the study at 7pm last night to try and make it suitable for a nursery space. Had to gently explain it probably wasn't very urgent. Study now back to normal thank goodness.

Hi all :-)
Tayto: enjoy pilates! I'm starting a yoga class tomorrow which I'm looking forward to as I haven't been to a proper class in years!
CC: that's interesting about the smear test - I've also been told mid cycle it was best but hey, things can change!
irrelephant - good luck with your psychiatric appointment. Glad your session went will this morning! That's rather sweet of D, let's hope that your journey is a short one and that the planning is indeed necessary.
AFM - what am I ... 5DPIUI? Am not going insane yet but that'll come with the weekend I should think as by then I'll be 10DPIUI which could be early enough to test but also too early to test! My aim is to hold out for AF which is due a week today. Am really really trying to focus on the long game and that I will be back in the clinic for a second go but it's so so so so difficult not to get hopes up! Work is crazy busy at the moment too which is keeping me occupied during the day but I need to fill the evenings. My mum and sister arrive on Thursday which I'm actually not looking forward to AT ALL as they booked the tickets without telling me and there is a lot of crap that I'm still trying to process. Am still angry that my mum booked the tickets and didn't tell me - I wouldn't have found out if I hadn't have texted her. Her excuse was that she wanted to speak to me but she could have picked up the phone instead of invading my personal space. It just feels like she's smothering me. I haven't made my mind up whether to tell her or not. But I never ever ever feel relaxed or happy around them, I just feel tense and incredibly anxious which, to be honest, I really don't need right now.

I guess maybe guidelines have changed? No idea but we will see lol

Hi girls x
Tayto - Enjoy pilates, I used to enjoy it after an intense spinning session. I must find some classes to go to soon if I want to shift this weight!
Chocolate Cupcake - I really need to get booked in for my smear, just never been the 'right' time.
Irrelephant - Good luck on your TTC journey, hope in a good way you aren't with us for long. Glad your appointment went well, all seems positive.
Enjayee - Good luck with the visit, I think if it was me I wouldn't tell my family until I had to. I am super close to my sister but haven't told her because I know she would be excited and would hate to know each month she was disappointed too. Only people who know we are are us two and of course you guys. But just think in a few weeks you will be telling them you are pregnant anyway so it won't hurt to hide it a few more weeks! Hope that made some kind of sense.
AFM - Nothing on the TTC front, no idea on cycle day or ovulation so in limbo and hate it! Just trying to fill up the year now with stuff to look forward too, although most exciting thing so far is finding out how much an attic conversion is going to be!

enjayee, hope you get through the visit ok. Do you have a bad history with your mum and sister or are they just hard work?
Thanks for the welcome.

Tayto - I think that the distraction threads are a great idea! I am wracking my brain to think of one that I can start myself. To answer your q from yesterday, I am planning to do a few 5ks this year and my aim is to beat my fastest ever time (which is quite slow)!! I've gone a bit backwards recently but the first one isn't until the end of March so I have time to get myself into gear. I hope that you enjoyed your pilates and that your cold goes soon!
CC - Great news on your prescription. I think that the reason that they suggest that a smear is done in the middle of your cycle is something to do with the position of the cervix. I might be totally wrong though as every time I go the nurse can't seem to find mine! I hope that you can get yours arranged soon to get it over and done with!
Irrelephant - Have you been tracking your cycles previously (sorry I've forgotten if you've mentioned it!). I'm glad that you got reassurance at your session this morning. Good luck for your appt on 9th March. I also hope that your TTC journey is short so that you can re-arrange the room again!
Enjayee - I'm glad that work is busy for you atm to keep you occupied! I too would hold off testing until AF is due in case I tested too early! How many rounds of IUI do you get with your clinic? Hopefully it won't come to a second round but it is good to know where you are with things. Are your Mum and Sister staying with you? That's a bit random not telling you they have booked their flights if they are. If they are staying somewhere else hopefully that will ease the pressure a bit X
Mrs T - Please please get your smear booked asap! My last one was embarrassingly late as I kept putting it off but I won't do that again. It's a good idea to have things to look forward to :-) Have you got any holidays planned?
AFM - CD 14 and massive ov cramps again. I don't understand why these have only just started happening?! My body is weird!

Lottie, no tracking really previously, but i do record CD1 and if i suspect I've ovulated.
