Afternoon all! How's everyone? Due to the Christmas period, I thought it would be best to just let this thread run over xmas and New Year - we can just jump in and out as we feel like it and then start a new one again on the 5th when we're back at work and have some time to procrastinate!
Just to pick up some personals from last week:
Lulu - how's things? What nice gifts did you get at work? Anything exciting?
Sally - How's the 2ww going for you? What DPO are you now?
Mrs 50's - Any more discharge? Could it have been implantation? Any more symptoms?
AFM - AF turned up today but I figured out yesterday that my ov date was off so I was actually only due today. Happy with that cos I hate the thought of any issues with my LP. Looks like FF thought I had ov'ed earlier than I did as I had very high temps due to being sick. I think my body actually geared up to ov and then didn't due to the flu. In other news, had a great time at the wedding, drank far too much so WW will be interesting tonight! Have a million presents to wrap tonight which I'm not looking forward to! Finally, we're off to Ireland tomorrow for Xmas.
Hello to all who follow & anyone lurking xx
Oh and, Peanut, how're you doing lovely?
23/12/2014 at 07:54
Hope you're all doing ok and are nearly ready for Christmas. 1.5 working days left here, I imagine it'll be very quiet today.
Good idea for the thread tayto - sorry AF turned up but I'm glad you had a good time at the wedding. Did you get your pressies wrapped? Have a lovely time back home for Christmas.
AFM - 12 DPO, fairly certain AF is on her way as I've had some slight spotting. I'm ok, bit disappointed but I'm sure next year we'll all get our BFPs. Does anyone else get spotting a few days before AF, is it something I should worry about, its fairly consistent in its arrival, just wasn't sure if I should mention it to a doctor next time I'm there.
I'm feeling fluffy and just want to send the love out to all you fabulous ladies. I'm so glad I've got to "meet" such amazing women while undergoing this journey. xx
23/12/2014 at 08:34
Lulu - how are you doing? Have been thinking of you loads. x
Sally - I sometimes get spotting a few days before AF shows up and I know veecee (although she doesn't post much anymore) used to as well. It's apparently quite common, but I don't get it all the time. The last few times actually has gone straight to AF. But mention to your doc anyway.
Tayto - Sorry to hear AF turned up, but glad there are no issues with your LP. Glad you had a good time at the wedding, and hope you got/get to Ireland safely :-)
AFM - feel, for the first time this month, quite Christmassy now! Am currently at work i.e. checking Facebook, emailing a few friends, looking for funny YouTube videos to send round. It's so quiet in here, but the boys won't play any Christmas music, the miserable sods. Am planning to leave around 3pm latest and then head to the gym, before doing my food shopping for English Christmas (here in DK we celebrate on 24th, but I can't not do anything on 25th), then wrapping the remainder of the presents and heading out for some glögg (mulled wine with almonds and raisins) in the late afternoon, before coming home to cook a shepherd's pie. TTC wise we have both finally made some sort of peace with the fact that it's not going to happen naturally for us and, even though I probably ov'd yesterday, we decided not to DTD as neither of us felt like it. I think H feels a little sad, but I'm glad he's coming round. I'd prefer us to DTD when we feel like it, rather than give ourselves false hope. So I'm prepared for AF's arrival on 6th January.
I also want to say a massive thank you to all of you. This has been such a tough year for a few of us (I know it has for me) and we're all still standing, still smiling, and stronger. 2015 WILL be our year. And I'm looking forward to it. Lots of love to you all, you are all incredible. X
23/12/2014 at 08:50
I checked on here yesterday and saw there wasn't anyone around so I'm glad to see you all today :-)
Tayto - Sorry af arrived but glad you're ok and had a good time at the wedding. Have a safe journey to Ireland and I hope you have a lovely Christmas even though the plans were not what you hoped. My gifts from work was money, quite a lot of it too so a new handbag for me in the sales I hope!
Sally - Sorry you think af is on the way. I'm another who gets spotting before af every cycle, it varies from 5 to 2 days (5 days only happened once it is normally 2 or 3 days) I spoke to my doc about it and have had all the tests done as you know so it isn't anything to worry about it can just be very annoying.
Enjayee - thank you for thinking of me, I'm up and down but doing ok thank you :-) Glad to hear you sounding more positive and it sounds like you and your h are getting back on track which is great news. Your Christmas plans sound lovely have a wonderful time.
AFM - Last day at work today and it is so quiet! TTC wise af due a week today but I ov'd earlier so she could arrive at the weekend, trying so hard not to think about it!
I also want to thank you all for your support over the last year, I never thought an internet forum would not only be so helpful but so supportive as well. You ladies are amazing and you all deserve you bfps in 2015. Lots of love and enjoy the vino over xmas as next year you won't be able to have it ;-) xxx

Hiya. Just popping on to wish you all a very merry Christmas and keeping everything crossed that next year will be the year for all of us.
I've decided I'm going to the docs in january. I'm currently on day 60 something so clearly something isn't right.
Anyway There are some perks to not being pregnant, I've just had a bottle of moet delivered from one of our subcontractors. I will definitely be enjoying that over Christmas!
23/12/2014 at 10:23
Sally - yes, all pressies wrapped and just a small bit of packing to go before we head off to the ferry this evening. Sorry the spotting has started & as enjayee says, do mention it to your doc. I vaguely recall veecee saying it was nothing to worry about (after she was referred) although I could be wrong about that.
Enjayee, glad to hear you're in the festive mood, it's very quiet in here too. That's interesting re how it's done in DK - love the mulled wine - getting a taste of it already! Good to hear you and your H are back on track & you're absolutely right, only DTD when you actually want to as otherwise it becomes a chore and isn't enjoyable for either of you. I have my fingers firmly crossed for you for 2015 x
Lulu - Enjoy spending your money on the sales - what type of handbags do you usually go for? I didn't think I had a type until I had to get a new one and had to find one with side pockets to put my keys in otherwise it's very messy trying to find them to get in of a cold wet evening! Enjoy your last day at work - it's mine too - am finishing half day though so I can get back home and finish packing! Hope you can enjoy the xmas without thinking too much of AF.
Holey - Merry xmas to you too. Best of luck with your app with the docs in Jan - hope they can give you some answers! Enjoy the moet!
AFM - Didn't do WW last night, was too busy and figured I've put on weight so I'd just depress myself. Work is awfully quiet so I'm spending my time sorting the pic from the wedding we went to at the weekend! All the pressies have been wrapped & bag almost packed. Looking forward to going home now and I'm going to be on my best behaviour with the In-Laws! I'll still pop on here over the xmas anyway!
Just to echo everyone else, thanks for all your support - I've really enjoyed being on here and 'meeting' you lovely lot. Hope we will all be over on the tri threads next year and sharing our bump pics. Although, for now, I'll enjoy my wine belly :-)

Hi everyone. Merry Christmas eve eve!
Tayto - sorry about AF arriving. Glad you enjoyed the wedding, hope you have a lovely time in Ireland.
Holey - merry Christmas, I am definitely going to be making the most of being able to drink over Christmas! Going to the docs in the new year sounds like a good plan.
Lulu - hope your last day at work goes quickly, have a lovely xmas break.
Enjayee - glad to hear you're starting to feel festive! I think you're right about only DTD when you want to, you've had such a tough year that I think it'll be good for you to get back to doing it because you want to, not just because it might make a baby.
Sally - sorry about the spotting, I don't get it (AF comes on like a tidal wave for me!!) But I'm sure it's normal, although I would mention it to your doctor if you're worried about it. Have a fab Christmas and roll on 2015!
AFM I'm currently CD3, 1st Clomid cycle down. Apparently I can't have any more Clomid this month cos my consultant is away for 2 weeks so can't do the tracking scan which I'm pretty disappointed about. Also my 7DPO progesterone was 25 and they want it to be above 30, so they may increase my dosage. I suppose it'll be interesting to see what my body does this month after having it's first ever normal cycle last month. I'm just focusing on enjoying Christmas and starting fresh in 2015.
Here's to all of us and our 2015 babies!
24/12/2014 at 00:20
Hey all just popping in quickly I've got my scan later today and am cd2 now boo for af and her despicable timing. Hope everyone has a wonderful Xmas and new year xxxx

I'm not sure what has happened to my paragraphs - they were there when I wrote the post and there when I try to edit it :-(
Good luck trying to read what I have said!!

Evening all, just 20 mins until Christmas day, so merry Christmas everyone and let's hope 2015 is our year!
I'll do a quick update first to get it out of the way! So, on Saturday I had a tiny amount of brown discharge at 6dpo so thought (hoped!) it might be implantation bleeding, despite feeling a bit crampy and AF-y. Unfortunately later that evening it turned red and there was enough to need a pad, and that was that - AF well and truly arrived by Sunday and so I'm now CD5 and it's nearly buggered off. I'm a bit worried about the extremely short LP, but also aware it's my first cycle since January 2013 so it's bound to take a while to settle, especially with breastfeeding still. We've decided to go for dtd every other day (to H's delight) from CD6 onwards if we can and just see what happens. I'll still use the OPKs but I've nearly run out and this is not an ideal time to be trying to order stuff!
Tayto - we're not quite cycle twins then but almost! I'm glad your LP was normal.
Enyajee - Glogg just sounds wonderfully Christmassy and alcoholic!
Sally - sorry AF is on the way.
Lulu - fingers crossed AF doesn't arrive at all!
Peanut - hopefully the clomid cycle will have kick-started your body into ovulating by itself, and if not, then at least you're 'in the system' so can hopefully crack on in the new year.
Luna - how was your scan?
Lottie - hopefully that appointment will come through soon, and that AF manages to miss the NY trip! Are you tracking ovulation at all, or just waiting for the first AF and going from that?
Hope you all have a lovely day tomorrow!
28/12/2014 at 00:13
Evening everyone, how were your Christmases? Hope you're all well. Xx
28/12/2014 at 16:31
Hi mrs 50's Christmas was good, I worked Christmas eve night shift in again tonight *yawn* I'm cd5 today af has near enough stopped. Every ttc app I have is telling me different ovulation dates which is very confusing so we will probably be following your lead and did every other day from tomorrow oh lord I hope I can walk straight after this next ten days
29/12/2014 at 22:04
Hi everyone, how was Christmas? Hope 2015 brings everyone the results they want.
Luna - I had the same problem (apps all having different ov dates) the last three months. This is the first month that the app OH uses to track my cycles and the OPKs seem to have been in sync.
OH and I are dtd when we feel like it but making a special effort around ov. We've both got quite high libidos, so it doesn't feel like a chore-yet (I'm sure I'll feel differently if we get to this time next year). I've been doing OPKs, and got a peak on Xmas Eve, so fingers crossed we have another Christmas present that we don't know anything about yet. After the last experience, I'm going to wait 2 months to do a test. I've got my specialist appointment on 10th Feb, so waiting for that as well.
31/12/2014 at 09:07
Ooh fingers crossed madam red!
I have flu so not dtd since Sunday. Must get on it tonight, somehow! Did an opk yesterday and there was a second line (negative though) but looks like my body is gearing up so don't want to miss it. Temping is going to be a big fat fail though due to flu - it's been over 39 for the last two mornings!
31/12/2014 at 11:35
Just coming into see how you are all doing :)!
It's got a bit quiet around here!
I am hoping to keep lurking and see some BFP's in 2015 (Hopefully another from me.)
01/01/2015 at 16:02
Hi all, hope everyone had a good Christmas and New Years. I'm currently CD12 and have had a flashing smiley face on a CBD OPK without Clomid this morning which is promising, however like Mrs 50s I've had a cold so my temps have been all over the place (had to discard most of them over the last few days on FF otherwise it thinks I ov'd on CD8!)
01/01/2015 at 22:45
Evening all - sorry I haven't been around; only just got on to a decent network connection now! Hope all had a lovely Christmas & I wanted to echo everyone else with massive good luck wishes for your BFP's in 2015!
Peanut - Sorry to hear you couldn't have Clomid this month although I'm delighted to hear it's kick started you into a decent length cycle! Best of luck for you for this cycle x
Luna - I posted on your other thread but, huge vibes for you for this cycle x
Lottie - Lovely to 'see' you! Sorry AF hasn't showed up yet. Fingers crossed your get your consultant appt through soon. If not, push for it and don't give up until you've got it!
Mrs 50's - I had flu last cycle - all my temps were a mess so I had to guess really! Fingers crossed you'll get it covered!
MadamRed - Welcome to the 2ww! Fingers crossed for you.
CC - Hello lovely x
Lulu, Sally, Enjayee & Holey - Hope you guys are doing ok xx
AFM - Xmas has gone fairly ok, IL's were ok. We are returning to the UK tomorrow so we have a few days to organise ourselves before returning to work on Monday. We have had some sad news though, H's grandmother was taken very ill on the 30th and it's not looking good. We're all hoping for the best but expecting the worst. She's almost 91 but an amazing lady so it's really tough to see her completely unresponsive in the hospital. TTC news, didn't temp or do OPK's this cycle but have been DTD'ing every other day. I reckon I've ov'ed today though going on cramps and Cervix position. We also met up with two of H's friends who were telling us about their TTC journey - it's given us some food for thought so we may go see a doc sooner than we had planned.

Just popping in briefly because I'm on the computer faffing with photos and I know some of you were interested in seeing the patchwork quilts I made for my parents and the inlaws. So here we go!
