Trying to conceive

Had my 21 day progesterone, only 4, so no ovulation. i got so upset. Waiting for ultrasound next week, i know i don't know anything for sure yet and need to wait and see the doc after that but i just feel freaked out. Hoping clomid is successful choice if it comes to that, i don't now much about it. didn't expect to get so upset, i guess i wasn't prepared for it. Anyone else have such a low result?

All the best I am sure it is all ok, I have my day 21 bloods to come and the waiting is awful. It is not uncommon to not ov every month or maybe this test missed it. Have you used opk before?

Hi there, whats opk?
i know the result should have been between 25-50, so 4's really low. only glimmer of hope for me is that my cycle seems to have been 31 days lately so maybe it did miss, but being that low i'd say probably not. the test range is usually 7 days prior to menstruation so maybe. Have to see what doc says and what shows up on the ultrasound. Hope you both get better results than me.

Try to stay positive. My first day 21 progesterone test was 13.4 and the gynae put me on clomid 50mg. First d21 after 50mg of clomid was 4 and I was devastated. This month was on 100mg and d21 progesterone was 61.3! It's really disheartening then the result is so low but keep positive - there's loads they can do. (or they may have tested you on the wrong day if ov was earlier/later than you realised)

Hi Deeders I have my test on Monday too! at 10.30am! I really do hope the result is ok. How was your results for day 3? or have you that to come? I have been doing some reading and it is not uncommon to ov from only one ovary which although is not ideal it may explain it, or at least ladies can plan. Also like Froggy said, it can be treated and your levels increased so chin up Gillybean : ) Tbh I was more concerned with the day 3 test because that is counting your egg reserves and you have them from birth! Opk's by the way are ovulation predicting kits, have you been getting positives on those?
I wonder if perhaps you ov early in your cycle hun? I was testing around day 14 and I think I was missing it for the first few months of trying. I tend to ov around day 11. There are cheap tests on the net 30 for a few pounds, it may put your mind at rest.

Hi everyone, thank you for your supporting messages, i didn't know a lot of that. I haven't been doing opk's as i always had symptoms of ovulating and just thought i was, i'm going to start using them now (i'm also expecting rpts day21's throught the GP). I haven't had a day3 yet, but i have had a scan, seeing the GP 2moz so hoping to know more. I'm expecting PCOS, which like everyone says they can do so much now. I'm feeling really positive that there's hope we'll have our little miracle one day. I don't know my rh yet either. It takes so long to get all the answers, i think thats the most frustrating thing, and the waiting for nhs guidelines and timescales. Can't wait for tomorrow. Hope all your tests went well everyone, fingers crossed for you all xxx

Hi again, ok so its confirmed PCOS. 12 follicles per ovary instead of 4. having a rpt day 21 (day 24 instead as my cycles have gone a bit longer) and waiting to see if they will refer me to hosp for clomid as the gp i saw wasn't sure on guideline timescales. I'm glad i know for sure though whats wrong, and its what i expected, just trying to stay positive that there's hope and a lot of people have success with clomid : ) x hope ur all doing well xxx

Hey everyone, I have my 21 day results back and I am very confused, she said they were normal but could not expand.
Follicular phase 0.6?
Prolactin 377? is that high?
I cannot find much online and some is sooo confusing. I think I am all ok but bloody hosital has LOST hubby's sperm sample v annoyed and where is it? So he has to do another just annoying cos it may make our journey longer to our little bean : ( All the best all and help would be great

Heya, progesterone 36 is good hun (normal is 25-50), i'm not sure about the other readings. Hope they sort ur OH sample this time round.
I just found out my GP won't refer me to hospital until we've tried for 18 months even though i have PCOS confirmed : ( so it'll be March 2013 before i see a consultant and finally can start clomid, devastated.
Hope everyone has better luck than me xxx

Is there any updates to this blog please? Any babies yet? I could really use a success story or five to keep me going on this emotional rollercoaster.
