Trying to conceive

Hi, after 3 years of trying to conceive and a failed cycle of IVF I have been prescribed Metformin to help regulate my cycles and encourage ovulation. I took a test this morning and I am unsure if this 2nd line is a positive or evaporation line. The test also has a coloured smudge. I took this photo within the time stated at which to read the test. Any help would be appreciated. Trying not to get my hopes up x

Hi Kay, it looks like a positive line to me as it's colour, I've heard evaporation lines are usually grey but I can't be 100% sure.
have you gt another test you can try just in case the smudge means there is something wrong with the test?
FC for you!

Hi Chezzad, thanks for your reply. I used fmu for the test. Just did a 2nd test from the same pack but used the dip method instead. The 2nd test only had 1 line but there was no smudge. Just hoping the 2nd test was negative due to not being fmu.The tests are cheapies from poundland and after googling i have found mixed reviews on them. I too have read about evaporation lines being grey. Will test again later this week with a different test.
