Hi guys, I'm new to this website so if im in the wrong place to post i apologize!
I'm an 18 year old who's had four positive pregnancy tests, two non digital and two digital. I haven't seen the doctor yet as i'm waiting for my boyfriend to come home from his trip, but I've just redone a fifth test to see if it would give me an estimate on how many weeks i am.. except it says not pregnant! I'm very worried because I really think I'm pregnant now and I've told my boyfriend that I am and he's excited.. but the negative on a #1 recommended by doctors worrys me!
Please help me understand whats happening, I'm not really that well informed on mumsy sort of stuff so i dont understand what is going on or what the result could mean! :(

Hello it could well be that the last test you did (the 'not pregnant' one) simply requires a higher concentration of hcg hormone in your wee to register as positive. Check the box /instructions for the tests you've done to see. For example some tests need only an hcg of 10 for the test to read positive but others need as high as 25 or even 50. Plus bare in mind that hcg levels are more concentrated when urine is held in bladder for longer or less diluted by fluids that you drink. Also levels will double approx every 48hours so you could retest with your first wee of the day. Phew sorry went on a ramble there! Have you missed your period yet? ☺
