Trying to conceive

Hi there......... I am new here and a bit "rabbit trapped in headlights" at the moment.
My partner and I have been trying for a baby for over 4 years now with no luck. So we have started seeking medical help. After a few blood tests I have been told my fertility levels are low, hitting high teens when we should be between 20 and 30.
My Doctor believes I have stopped ovulating and after my next blood test on the 23rd August, I may start taking fertility boosting medication.
A friend of mine has advised me to take prenatal vitamins, zinc, evening primrose oil. I was under the impression when you stop ovulating, that was it, maybe IVF but I don't really don't want to go down that road.
Is there any one out there been through something similar and been successful?
Any help would be appreciated.

As long as the eggs you have are still healthy they will probably prescribe clomid to kick start ovulation again. No person exp myself but llotsof lladies on here are taking it xx

The first time I was TTC I was in the same position as you. We had tests done turned out I don't ovulate. they prescribed me clomid to help me ovulate and I fell pregnant on our second cycle of clomid (we tried for 2.5 years before I fell pregnant). Our consultant said there was 3 options for us first clomid if that didn't work we could try IUI or lastly it would have been IVF.
When I fell pregnant I also used sasmar (its sperm friendly lube) as a last ditched attempt but i think it helped the process.
Good luck I really hope u can get clomid and that it works for u too x

Also there is lots of ladies on the long term TTC forum that you can speak to and get more advice from. some have been through similar things and are currently using clomid x

Thank you. I have plenty of freinds will babies and it's cool to talk to them but they have never had problems getting pregnant. I have completely changed my diet and cycle to work every day to keep fit. Just need to get those wee things moving again
