Trying to conceive

I haven't posted in here for a very long time, I am 35 and hubby and I have a DD who has just turned 3 and we are trying to conceive #2.
The problem is I have been PS to check for ovulation for 3 months and I have not once got a positive reading. I used the cheapie sticks for a while, but I have bought the Clearblue Ovulation sticks and still nothing. I have 27 day cycles, so does this automatically mean I ovulate or not, I am so confused.
Anyone, send me any advice on what I could do to encourage ovulation, etc... any help?
Thank you in advance

Cycles may be regular but unfortunately (as I know too well..booo) this doesn't automatically mean you ovulate. The best way of knowing if you do is by taking your temperature as soon as you wake up, same time every morning, and looking for patterns. Ov sticks are great if you test at the right time - but useless if not. Look into temping, almost free and the best way of working out your cycles See the book 'Taking Charge of Your Fertility' - it's incredible.
