Trying to conceive

I'm new here and thought I would introduce myself. Myself and my husband have just started trying for a baby. We got married last November (he's 34 and I'm 28) and were going to wait a little while before we started trying properly, but after a dose of antibiotics and a few missed pills, we realised that actually we don't want to wait. So off the pill I went!
I had hoped that our particularly naughty dtd while I wasn't fully protected by the pill would have worked out and I wouldn't have to play the waiting game until a BFP, but it's not to be and I'm now on day four of AF... I've been reading everything I can get my hands on online about conception and am totally shocked that I knew so very little about my body!!
I'm just hoping now that my cycles go back to normal quickly - I *think* I was always regular, but I've been on the pill off and on since I was 12 for severe period pains... so I don't know. And not looking forward to the return of those, either!
We've also decided not to let it be known that we're trying, and keeping it to myself is already proving very difficult!!!
Any advice out there for me on things to look out for??

I'm 33 yrs old and DH is 41(have been married 8 yers) and are TTC#3. I have 2 boys aged 2 and 6. Got pregnant with the 6 year old by surprise! Suffered a very early MC in august 2010 and concieved my 2 year old son by using ovulation sticks in October 2010.
I have been off the pill since august and been using OPK since November but am unsure if i am using them correctly and it was pure luck last time. I am on dau 6 of my period and they are very light today so hoping that's it for this month! Also statred to take sanatogen mother to be this week to try and help as i have read on here that pregnacare vitamins can affect fertility.
we have also decided not tell anyone as they would all be watching us like a hawk! Good luck - a

Ooh best of luck A! I've read a lot about ovulation tests and it seems a lot of ladies are using them, but i think if I have no luck this month without them I'll try them the month after.. Just going to try lots and lots of BD between now and then and see if that works. A suggestion from my DH!!!
The upside of not telling anyone is no questions and no watching, the downside is that I'm bursting to say something to someone... particularly as I'm sure its going to be a few months before the pill wears off. I was on Cilest, which is pretty heavy-duty and am expecting a lot of erratic behaviour from my body. This first period has been quite strange as it is (TMI- but bright red blood, it looks like I've been injured or something!)
Anyway, I'm hoping that this forum will keep me company through the process and we won't have to wait too long for that all important positive test!
Best of luck to you!!
