Came off the pill beginning of Feb, had break-through bleed straight away as normal, then had AF after a 43 day cycle. AF ended today.
Question is when do I use OV sticks? Do I assume next cycle will be about 40 days? Is it even worth me using them?!

    All answers gratefully recieved!!

    BE ate my post!!!!!!!!!

soz cant help you with OV sticks but sure one of the other girls will be able to.

with you AF length, it all depends how your body reacts to coming off the pill and settling down.

you havnt said how long you were on the pill as that can make a difference as to how long it takes for your body to settle down too.

when i came off pill 1st 2 AFs were 26 days then next 2 31 days and this one looks to be a bit longer as up to CD18 and still no OV.

ive started charting this month (4th month ttc) i find it keeps me sane with the whole when or if ive OV. use fertility friend website.

    hope that helps a bit

ive tried posting this 4 times now!!!!

sorry cant help you with OV sticks as dont use them. but sure one of the other girls can help you.

with the length of your AF it all depends on how long it takes for you body to settle down.

you didnt say how long you were on the pill for as that sometimes makes a differnce to how body settles down.

my 1st 2 AFs were 26 days then next 2 31 days and nect one looks to be even longer as up to CD18 and still havnt OV!!!

ive started charting this month (4th month ttc) and i find its keeping me sane and not allowing me to second guess when or if ive OV. fertility friend is very good and even if dont decide to chart if you sign in it gives you lessons on charting that are emailed to you and very good for looking for signs of OV ect.

    hope that helps a bit

I came off the pill in June I think and since my periods have ranged from 31 to 46 days. I have a feeling this month is going to be even longer! I've been using the clear blue fertility monitor for the last 2 months. I think it's better if you've irregular periods. However, this month it peaked on cd 21 and my temperature which I have also been charting hasn't (on cd31 now) so now I'm confused, but last month it was spot on and so much easier than guessing!

I bought ov tests off ebay (seller is fertility plan)- i starting testing on day 10 as I have a cycle that is anywhere from 29-33 days - in theory you ov 11-16 days before af but because you're just coming off the pill it may take a while for your body to setle down - so, I'd suggest testing from cd20 as if you're cycle ends up being 40 days you'll catch it - if you end up have a shorter cycle you might miss it. Try taking your temp too as this is an accurate way of working out when you ov (albeit after the event) & keep an eye on your cm too

    Hiya
Personally for the first two cycles I would test from CD10 and just keep going until you get a positive. Get the cheapie ebay ones (like Bodlondon I use fertilityplan on ebay) then that way you are guaranteed to miss it. CD20 might be a bit late as my cycles since coming off the pill have been 33, 35 and 31.
It's fab you have had an AF though and 43 days is pretty good for being off the pill, some ladies can go months.xxx
