Hi I too have started taking agnus cactus as my periods have been irregular since I came off the pill 2/12 years ago. We have been trying for our second since then with no luck. I only started agnus cactus a week ago. I think it takes a while to get into your system but it tastes disgusting if you don't swallow the capsule quickly. The shop assistant told me to take it everyday and to stop if I got pregnant but I also read about stopping it after ovulation and am also in the position of not knowing when I'm ovulating. I think I will take it everyday for the first month to get it into my system. The stop assistant said if you don't take it everyday it doesn't work properly, however she said on the second half of the month (after ovulation) I could half the dose so it still keeps in my system but not as much. But then again, not so easy if you don't know when your ovulating. I've bought some ov sticks to see if that gives me any idea. We seem to be in similar situations and I'm sorry I'm not much help. x

I took this religiously and decided to take it for 3 months prior to ttc as I too didn't know when I was ovulating. The gamble paid off and after 3 months my cycle settled - it was predictable although longer at about 35 days.
I then stopped it as didn't want the risk of taking at ovulation but I think it was worth the delay as my cycles had been horrendous and after takign AC they were so much better.
Hope it works for you.

I took AC. I too don't know when I ovulate so the first month I took every day until my period. I then guessed roughly when I would have ovulated (14 days before your period starts). So in month 2 I took AC every day until my guessed ovulation date when I stopped taking it and low and behold that month I fell pregnant. We'd been trying 2 years. X

I think especially when you are coming off hormones your body gets a bit confused and the AC seemed (for me anyway) to just balance me out and calm things down.
My mood swings etc also improved. I did read it is used a lot in PMS.

I have been on Depo for 11 years. My next shot was due on 23/02/2013, but did not go as we ttc for second child. My cycle was normal before depo and have not had any period since being on the shot. It's a month now since I am off. Do I wait for my period to return or can I use AC to regulate it faster.
Also, does anyone know where I can buy AC in Cape Town, South Africa.
