Just wondering if there are any lurkers around that would like to come & join us? We've had a wonderful rush of BFP's lately so our numbers are a tad low :-)

Just bumping this to see if there's anyone around? :-)

I've been having a lurk lately - I'm on Hitched too.
I have stopped taking my pill, and I am on folic acid (and have been for the last month or so). We get married next month so we aren't "officially" trying until after that, but we're also not protecting against it!

Hey SallyLou, welcome along! I like the idea of not protecting against it - I think someone on here previously coined the acronym NTNTC (Not Trying Not To Conceive)!
We're a nice bunch on here so feel free to ask any questions. Congrats on your upcoming nuptials!

I shall try and get involved in the TTC threads.
I realised I didn't tell you anything about myself - I'm 29, OH is 34 and we've been together 5 years. It will be the first for both of us and it's all very exciting!

I'm a lurker! But finally feeling ready to get a bit more involved! I'm 27. OH is 29. We have been married a year and are planning to start TTC in the next month or so (we've got some travelling planned first and so waiting until after that!). So not much to say at the moment but hopefully I'll be able to get a lot more involved soon!

Hi Lisa Moo - welcome along! Feel free to jump in when you do get started or even just lurk - it can help to get you into the 'know' of things TTC before starting. What travelling plans have you got? We're off to Malta next month :-)

Thanks tayto! It's quite daunting as everyone seems to know more than me about all of this! I am going to New York and Guernsey over the next few weeks. As I've been on the pill for so long I'm not really sure how my body is going to react when I stop so just thought I would wait until I'm home again!
11/07/2014 at 14:47
I wouldn't worry about knowing too much yet - you'll learn it all with time to come. This is a great place for all things TTC - there's usually someone around that can help with any sort of query.
Your travel plans sound lovely - one of our other ladies on here - Tonka - is off to New York next week.
That's a good idea re the pill, everyone reacts differently so just give yourself some time to begin with.

Hi Lisa and Sally! Feel free to jump into the 1st Tri boards, even if you don't think you have much to say, it's nice to get to know you and we are a very nice bunch, promise!! There are no such things as silly questions and we all try and help each other if only for extra support and a place to have a whine!!
SallyLou - how exciting, that's how I was meant to start my TTC journey but I'm a bit of a control freak so opks and temping just had to be included! Your very similar to me and my H, I'm 29, he's 30 but been together for 5 years and been married for 9months.
LisaMoo - I'm off to NY next Tuesday, I've not been before so I'm mega excited! Have you been? I stopped my pill in March and settled quite quickly into my cycles, a period tracker was really useful for me as I was on the pill for 10 years so had no idea what to expect and by being able to look back through made it so much easier to start predicting ov
11/07/2014 at 18:38
Thank tayto! I'm sure I'll have lots of questions along the way!
Tonka - I have been to NY before, but it was quite a few years ago so really looking forward to going back! I'm hoping that I'll settle into a routine before too long but I already know that I have PCOS so I'm trying not to get my hopes up too soon as I think I could be here a while!

Lurking ish... we were going to start ttc in August but I've had a change of job role for a new project that only starts in September, so I don't feel I can go off on maternity leave during the academic year in the first year of the project, so ttc has been pushed back to December, waah! I keep popping in though, when I can get on the laptop.

I'm in lurking mode now. I'm trying to relax about the TTC thing and unfortunately, as much as I love MD, keeping a daily track of what was happening for me wasn't helping me relax. I'm dealing with TTC a bit better and do feel a bit more chilled out. I do think that me not posting is helping but I can't keep away completely! Hello to all newbies :-)
20/07/2014 at 14:22
Enjayee, I am also trying to relax this month so taken a step back from everything. We also have visitors so all over the place for charting etc so just didn't bother, so far so good but I think I am on day 8, 9 or 10 can't quite remember!
20/07/2014 at 20:58
Hello mrs 50s, enjayee and mrs t!
We are planning to start ttc at the end of August and I definitely want to keep it relaxed for as long as possible as I don't want to get too obsessed! I will still be coming on and posting occasionally but don't think I will want to do daily posts.
21/07/2014 at 10:01
I'm still here lurking. Trying to stop obsessing over TTC for a while and waiting for my cycles to calm down and get themselves back into a pattern
21/07/2014 at 13:44
Hello to all the lurkers/newbies! Bearing in mind the low numbers posting on here and the potential stress of posting on daily threads, I'll start a weekly chat thread - to replace the TTC one and get some non TTC chat going..... Hope that's ok with everyone.....

Hi! I'm lurking. Getting married 5 September, came off the pill in March, will probably start trying just before the wedding (mad?).
23/07/2014 at 19:03
Hi CRL and welcome! Don't think you're mad to start before the wedding - between now and then is such a short time that you won't be noticeable if you did catch very quickly. Good luck & feel free to join in on our weekly chat threads.

Hi, i'm a new lurker! *waves*
I was on hitched, and knew about Mumdrum from some hitchers. My OH and I have been married for nearly 2 years and hope to start trying in September. I feel quite strange as I am very excited, but now that OH has started to feel excited too it has actually started to make me feel a bit scared as it is starting to become real (if that makes sense?!) Not sure when I should be starting to take Folic acid tablets and what type I should be taking etc. I came off the pill last October as I was starting to have bad migraines and decided to come off it all together. My cycles still haven't got into a reliable cycle yet, but I am hoping that doesn't mean we will have any problems.
I hope to be posting more soon!
