Hi ladies, hoping someone can give advice. I got PG last march but ended in mmc in July. Been ttc since and no bfp. Had a day 21 progesterone test and results came back high, but I've recently discovered my lp is only 10 days, which most sites say is too short. Ive been taking 100mg B6 & B12, and drinking red raspberry leaf tea up to ov. My Dr didn't really know what I was on about when I told her my lp is only 10 days, she just said 'your opk's must be wrong, your lp is fixed at 14 days'. Has anyone been through this and able to offer some advice?

Hi, didn't want to read and run. I can't really offer you any advice but I can tell you that the luteal phase is not fixed at 14 days. It is usually the same length each month but the length varies from person to person, 14 days is just the average. Mine is shorter too, usually 12-13 days. Though recently it was 11 days but not sure if that was due to a change in OPKs or some vitamins i'd taken. Hope someone can give you some advise.

Thanks for your reply FaithRyan. I've actually made it to 12dpo, so if af comes today my lp has gone up to 11days not sure why your lp would suddenly go down to 11, but your usual 12-13 days is ok from what I've read. I'll be happy if I can get mine up to 12!

Hi hun , was thinking - I took magnesium to increase lp , I read if you're deficient in magnesium (which a lot of women are ) it can cause uterine contractions n affect implantation , n also took vitamin E , to increase the mobility of the sperm n stop them clumping together n they can increase natural progesterone , sure it helped us , hope it can do the same for you hun , anything's worth a try eh , good luck can't wait for you to get your bfp x x
