Hi dh and I have just decided to have one final shot to conclude our family, I am already the proud mum of 2 sons but would really like a daughter to finish off our family. Any tips out there on ways to get a girl?

Hi Nessie -
I know in the U.S. gender selection for family balancing is an option. But I think the U.S. is one of the few countries that allows gender selection for family balancing. Are you thinking about going down the IVF route to have a girl?
In the U.K. - at the moment - gender selection is only an option for a couple is they carry the risk of passing along a genetic disease to their child.
For this reason, Mmany people go to the U.S., as it's legal there to use gender selection for family balancing.

My advice is quite simplistic in comparison and not not sure if there is any evidence. I read that to conceive a girl dtd before you ovulate and a boy on the day. based on my dates I'm convinced this happened to me, I have a boy and girl!!
goodluck and fingers crossed xx

without ivf there is no way of guaranteeing the gender of a baby. this is as its the sperm which determines the sex of a baby not ovulation
