    Hi All,

I ave resisted the urge to use Ov sticks.....that is until now!! After monitoring symptoms and CM I;m now in month of TTC and for the 1st time feel virtually positive i am ovulating today (CD13). I have all my symptoms that I usually get around this time, bloatedness, low cramps on one side, and EWCM (sorry TMI!) so feeling massively confident I decided to use an OV stick and got a BFN?! Feel really dissapointed, has anyone else been convined their ovulating but not got a positive on an ov stick???

    Thanks

Ov sticks usually detect your surge and if you get a positive i believe it means you will ov in the next 12-36 hr, in which case if you are ovulating NOW then you wont prob get a positive if that makes sense?

    hi
i can understand you frustrations - listen to your body though
when did you do the ov test? you may have tested too soon after drinking or at the wrong time of day, or even missed your surge so don't be too disheartened.
i'm feeling the same and got bfn on ov stick this afternoon (CD12). am hoping i'll get + in the next day or so.
i trust my body more than the ov sticks although the ov sticks are good when you get a + as it gives you reassurance!
    bd anyway!
i wasn't going to use ov sticks this month until i went out and bought them yesterday lunchtime. why do i waste that amount of money?!!

Also like mrs_e has said depends on how long you have held your wee. I tested 3 times a day last month too during my fertile time as you can miss the surge xx
