I know the feeling all to well. I have two DSS who are 12 and 9 and a DS who is 5. I'm currently TTC and may have just gotten my BFP (AF due today - tested2 days ago with a faint positive). If I have conceived they will be 13, 10 and almost 6. I wanted my kids to be closer together but things arose so it didn't work out that way. Don't worry to much because it just means you'll have more help and less stress(at least that's what I keep telling myself). =)

I've got one little boy and he's about to turn 5 and I'm not sure if this pregnancy is ok - think I'm around 5 and a half weeks. If it's ok, he'll be 5 yrs 7 months old. I know the age gap isn't huge compared to many but it was something concerning me. Now, I just think whatever happens will be right for our family. I have a close friend whose little girl turned 13 a couple of weeks before her second baby was born!! And her eldest just loves her sister.
Another couple we know - she had 3 kids who were grown up when she met her current husband. Her youngest was 15. She'd had her tubes tied and went privately to get them reversed!! She fell pregnant and now they have a little boy together but they're now 4, 20, 22, 25. It actually works quite well! They all love the little one to bits. At the end of the day, it will work. I had a little cousin who was born when I was 14 and a half. I loved seeing her and playing with her when she was little. She's come up to uni now where I live and I love her to bits. I feel closer to her now. Once you're older, age is less of a barrier. I've got friends who are 10 years older than me and I see them as an equal to me.
I know it's something that can be a worry, but there's pros and cons to every age gap. Whatever the gap is will be right for your family

Heya hun I was the same my eldest is 14 and my daughter is 5 in July and I have my Lil boy Due the 7th Oct. It was tough to begin with as my first was an only child for so long but tbh it's been lovely he's been so gud with my daughter and very helpful when she was younger for this one though he doesn't really seem interested but think it's his age lol xxx
