We are looking at August/Sept. My dd is just about to turn 17 months so if I get pregnant on target (if we are extremely lucky) there'll be 2 1/2 years between them x

Good luck to everyone.
My son turns 21 months tomorrow. We've been waitin for number two because we want to pay a loan off and also because we had a complicated pregnant and no family close by to help. So we are choosing a slightly bigger age gap to make the initial stage a little less hard. Having said that I am sure it will still be hard balancing two and not feeling guilty about sharing time. And also I want to avoid a huge gap.
i guess fate will decide.
Anyway we are thinking of trying somewhere between September and next April. So hard to decide as you never know hololling it will take.

Can I ask, have any of you already stopped contraception and/or started taking supplements?
I know the recommendation is to take folic acid three months prior to starting to try but wondered if you have started.
In my last pregnancy I despite taking pregnancies the whole way through I ended up with severe vitamin d deficiency so I think I will take a pregnancy re type multivitamin this time to start boosting the levels. My GP told me I must have bloods done regularly this time to keep an eye.
Is there anything else you are doing to prepare?
i guess saving is a biggy and I think we will start some DIY jobs as we will need to reshuffle our storage to fit in baby 2.
Im very aware rhat once pregnant it is a count down and so time goes very quickly. best get in to it!

TP,I came off the pill in April and was originally going to ttc July but it will be more like Aug/sept now.
We like you have the finacial issues and we're currently in the process of trying to get a better rate on our remortgage whicb should help. We will need to buy a new car as well which won't be ao bad if we can lower the mortgage.
I've been ill pretty much ill since November with repeat throat infections and hmigraines which I've never previously had. So I've been on multi vits since march with additional vit c and folic acid.
We haven't done anything else to prepare. I'm still figuring out where number 2 will go! !

im sure they will fit in somewhere but in aware if we have a girl we will need to find a third bedroom somehow eventually.
I hope your migraines have improved. You should see you Gp and or optician to see if you can get to the bottom of it. I used to get hormonal migraines and the gp found me some really good medication. The only problem is you can't take it whilst pregnant.
