seriously though any of you that remember me will know that i was convinced i would be pregnant by my birthday, well after 5 months of ttc i am 10+2 weeks pregnant & its my birthday today.

Just keep thinking positive and giving yourself targets and it will happen.

oh and if all else fails book a weekend away, take some preseed and drink champers in a fancy bath with hubby and hey presto - baby!

just wanted to let you know that it can and will happen for you!

I have my 12 week scan (well 11+3) next tuesday so i can then officially tell everyone, i know that robs sister just think ve piled on a few pounds around the middle! I can't wait to tell people as its been so hard keeping it secret. At least both parents know now which is nice and they are so thrilled.

Posy its amazing, i constantly feel like ive won the lottery im the luckest girl alive! My pregnant friend 18 weeks is constantly moaning about it and i often put her in her place saying how lucky we are and how its an amazing gift we have been given and that we shouldnt take it for granted!

Thats one thing ttc did for me was made me appreciate being pregnant and realise how treasured it is and that it shouldnt be taken for granted. I always say to rob how lucky we are. I will never forget how hard i found ttc and what it felt like every month when af arrived.

it will happen though trust me as i was convinced deep down it wouldnt for me.

o/t the hotel we booked through easy breaks and they have some amazing cheap deals for dinner bed and breakfast!

Just let any suspicious people think that you are eating through contentment and just relaxing now that you're married.LOL. Although not too long until they find out anyway. Do you think your family & friends etc will be surprised?

Argh, why do my replies keep disappearing?!

I can't even imagine how special it must feel to be pregnant and keeping it a happy secret between you and OH. I'm so jealous (but in a nice way haha). Like you I am convinced that for some reason it won't happen for me.

It makes me mad that it happens so easily for people out on drunken one night stands who don't even want to get pregnant.

Thanks for the hotel tip, will have a look online!

I think some will be surprised but most know that we wanted to start a family early in our marriage. However no one knew we were ttc and talking about children and actually starting a family are 2 massive different things. im sure everyone will be very happy for us.

Posy - i know its hard but really dont give up, i always thought at the back of my mind what if im one of the people who cant get pregnant! And also like you found it hard to deal with people around me getting pregnant at the drop of the hat! I still get angry about pregnant women neglecting their bodies, drinking etc but hubby always says that all we need to concern ourselves with is our own selves!

I think the major thing is to try and relax and remember that it takes most average couples 6 months to a year to fall pregnant. MY mum took 3 years to fall with my brother (only found thisd out when i told her i was pg). i do know that there seems to be a lot of girls that fall pg around the 5 month mark.

getting pregnant was the hardest thing i have ever had to do and i cherish every moment of knowing i am! im not sure i would be as grateful if i hadnt been ttc, also i hope it will make me a better mum in the long run!
it will happen - trust me.

Thanks....that was a helpful reply...I can't believe how naive i was thinking that the first month I did awy with birth control and Bd at the right time then it would happen just like that!! I think that after not getting a BFP in my first or second cycle (and also being surprised at how hard i took it) that I will appreciate it more when I do get a BFP.
I also know that there are a lot of ladies who have been trying for longer, and i still don't understand how people get pregnant accidentally or while on the pill.

I'm glad that i'm not in a rush age-wise and that I started trying when I did, am so relieved we didn't wait for a year or two after marriage to start trying as we had originally planned.(It seems to be normal in our family and friends to wait for a few years before starting a family). Now it is possible anyway that we will reach our 1 year anniversary without me being pregnant (if it takes on average 6 months).

I just wish that patience was one of my strong points, but unfortunately its not!! Ah well, will go for a run now to chill out. Healthy and fit is the way to go for TTC after all

    xxx

I'm sure you will be a great mum as you want this so much x

Happy Birthday honey!! I hope you have a lovely day.

So excited for you and thanks for stil thinking of us over in TTC.

I did that on a few months, after a trip to Rome, over Christmas after our first month using CBFM and pre-seed and when it didn't happen it was really hard picking myself up.

I'm trying to find that balance of PMA and being realistic a year on. It's so tough...... I can't wait to be over with you on pregnancy..... although i love these gals!

pressed is a sperm friendly lubricant and it also helps sperm swim through - it mimics egg white mucus - i think perhaps i didnt produce enough naturally so thats why the preseed worked for us.

Thanks girls how could i ever forget about you lot!

Being pregnant is magical and i hope you all get to experience it very soon, i feel so lucky to be pregnant and will never ever forget how hard ttc was - the not knowing if everything was ok etc.

Believe and you will concieve girls.

    it WILL happen.
