Trying to conceive

Just wanted your opinions on which are the best and most reliable Pregnancy Tests out there - With our first pregnancy we used Clearblue digital - again with our 2nd pregnancy (that we sadly lost at 12 wks), so wondered what you thought?
I have some from Sainsburys, cheapy ones that do a plus or minus sign on and having read reviews online, have been led to believe they are not the most reliable??
Any help is greatly appreciated for the future!

For cheapness i tried ones from poundland. They came up positive very early on, I think about three days before my period was due. I then tried a clearblue and I was definitiely pregnant! They do 2 strip ones or one in a casing for a £1 each. The casing one was definitely clearer but both types came up positive. Before that I always used Tescos own brand!

I swear by the first response early response. I would say they're not reliable quite as early as they say (they say you can test 5 days before period is due) but def a few days before they are very accurate. traditional dye tests are usually more sensitive than digital tests so i wouldnt use a digital test until later on.
with this pregnancy i used the first response early response 5 days before I was due & got a very clear negative. At 3 days before i was due I got a faint line (but def there) then at 1 day before I was due it was very dark. i then tested a week late with the cb digital woth weeks indicator... 1 to see it in words & 2 to see if my hcg levels were in the right ballpark (if the weeks came back lower thanit should that would suggest my hcg was low). It came back as 2-3 weeks (which means 5 weeks as cb digis count from conception not lmp) which was spot on for where i shouldve been.

Thanks girls. I might stick to Clearblue as it is what I know, and they usually do some good offers! I was asking as I was due on 8 days ago - am on the mini pill but have been late in taking a couple - I just don't feel myself and have all the symptoms of being on or pregnant.. very confusing! Did a test this morning using one of the Sainsburys pack for £3.50 for two and it came up negative after a few mins. My smear test is booked for Wednesday so will have a chat when I go for that. My body just may be confused after my mc in October perhaps? Thanks again x

alfiesmummy1 hi hun i remember you from b.e site! hope your well? these are what i known to be cheapy tests, you can get them off ebay and amazon, some times poundland do them 5 in a box, i know savers and home bargains also sell them yet again i think u get either 3/5 in a box, i used them before they are ok but i found i never got a strong result on them, even when i was a good 6 weeks pregnant.
There are some test's out there that do work well like the first response or if you dont fancy paying £10 odd for them First answer are the same thing, look the same and work the same but only cost £4.49 for 2 and some times u get 3 in a box when on offer! clear blue digital works well if your passed your missed period, any thing before and i wouldnt use a digital one.
as for shop own ones, tesco i never got a reading from, yet boots own and lloyds i did, Asda are doing a box for £1 and iv picked some of those up, i also had a good clear result with some from amazon last year, yet again i think they where 4 for £2.99.
I tend you find pink dye ones work best before missed period and blue dye works fine once im a week late but that might just be my body.
hope this helps xxx
