    PM
    hi girls

i have doc appointment on Tues and was wondering what you think my chances are of them doing anyting other than sending me away for another 6 mths! i hate going to the doc as i always feel like a daft wee girl and don't always say everything that i have got going round my head!!!

i came off the pill in Jan and since have only had 2 very light af's.

i have also been suffering from greasy skin, spots (forehead, chin and back) weight gain and have been very emonional on and off, no pattern that i can see.

currently on cd40 with no sign of af and no BFP.

i have been using opk and have never had a + although i think i have had ewcm.

i know it's early days but doesn't feel like that to me! i was never very good at taking the pill sometimes missing days at a time, so have managed to convince myself that i won't be able to get pg!!

any and all thoughts welcome, even if its to tell me to get a grip!

    thanks for reading
    xx

    Hey You,

Sorry to hear you are non the wiser yet, I'm day 32 now and nothing yet either although suspect I have a longer cycle etc.

I can understand why you've got an appt with the docs and I hope they are helpful. I don't want to be -ve but I think they may make you go back after a certain period if you still haven't got af, I think this has happened to others on here. If I were you then I'd make a list of any questions you have so that you can make sure you say what you want to so that even if you have to go back, you may feel like you've gotten some help.

I have also suffered with weight gain and am refusing to buy new clothes and have practically nothing to wear. I'm also stuggling to eat healthier as I'm always hungry now too and feel stressed from ttc. My boobs are much bigger now which is nice but not when everything else is too! I feel for you with this but you are not alone! I used opk's for one month with no +ve so haven't bothered again. I had good ewcm for the 1st 3 months and now none, some never have it so trying no too fuss and am taking EPO. I'm at the end of cycle 5 and can't beleive that I'm almost onto cycle 6, I keep thinking that's halfway to tests, eek. I want it to happen so much and hate the lack of control, even knowing when O was would be a huge improvement.

Sorry to have waffled on but I think we all feel like this alot of the time and it's good for you to get it out. Sorry I'm no help but we're all here and understand what you feeling, I hope you feel better soon x

    thanks porky!
it does help to know i'm not on my own with this!!

i'm going to docs for something else but thought i might bring it up when i'm there!
i've never been the patient kind, if i want something to happen i go all out to get it but i suppose with this i need to realise that i can't control it 100% or at all!!!
i suppose i just hope that she takes pity on me or at the very least puts it in my notes so if i need to go back its documented!

i think if i had a +on opk then i would be more relaxed but i suppose i just feel like if i'm not ov'ing then mths down the line won't make any difference!!

its good to be able to come on here and rabble on!!!
    thanks

Hi Danipink- I think you're right to discuss it with GP so even if they send you away to keep trying a bit longer they will have it on record that you started trying in Jan. It may be worth trying to remember what your af's were like before you took the pill and then you can say whether this is normal or not for you. Say you've not had a pos ov test and are worried and they may agree to do bloods if nothing else.
Personally I never have pos ov tests and still caught so they aren't accurate for everyone!
    Good Luck x

    HI,

I too am thinking about booking an appointment at the docs for next month if no BFP by then! It will have been 6 months then, and like you was rubbish at taking the pill when I was on it, so have this niggling feeling that there maybe a problem! I do know someone that went to docs after 6 months when she was TTC and had irregular AF's and she was prescribed Clomid (i think) and she fell pregnant very soon after so they may be prepared to help! I'm certainly keeping my fingers crossed!

Tell me about the weight gain!! I thought going on the pill made you put on weight, so when I came off it I was fully expecting to lose a few pounds, erm more like put on 2 stone?!?! Hardly any of my warderobe fits me, Like porky, I refuse to buy anymore......which now limits me to approx 2 pairs of trousers!!! Trying weight watchers, but after eating salads for 3 weeks I have lost 1 pound?! V. depressing!

Anyway, sending lots of baby dust your way, and hope you get some answers from the doc!

    Clare x

    Hi danipink
I first went to docs 3 months after no af after coming off pill and they sent me for blood tests, they came normal so sent me off and told me to come back in May if nothing else changes, as you'l see from my other posts i went back to docs on Thurs and have been for more blood tests today, results next week.
You have to be quite demanding when you are there and make them listen to you, i am so weak when i go to docs and just let them tell me what they wanna say and walk away. I'm really hopeing that now its been 9 months that they will do something. Good luck with your docs and really hope they listen and take you seriously.
