I'm just interested to know if while TTC you have cut down or cut out caffeine and/or alcohol? I have cut down on both and while going thru ovulation & the 2ww I have totally cut out alcohol and watched my caffeine intake but during my AF I have had a few drinks. I just wondered what you ladies were doing?

I don't have much caffeine anyway, couple of cups of tea a day, bit of chocolate and the very occasional coke. Alcohol I have been drinking a bit as we've just been on hol, but I can't have a lot anyway as i'm still breastfeeding, so only drink it after the last feed of the day, and not a lot, can't remember my last drunken night out!
When I was trying for number 1 I gave up alcohol for the first few months. When December came we decided to not 'try' that month, enjoy christmas and have a big health kick in the new year. I got my BFP on New Year's Eve, and then felt terribly guilty that i'd been drinking over Christmas! Was reassured that it only really does harm to baby if you drink a lot throughout your pregnancy, and after I'd got my BFP the first thing i did was happily chuck the vodka i'd poured myself down the sink - was that convinced it would be another BFN!!

I've been having decaff coffee instead....and alcohol, I seem to have gone right off it!

I can't drink decaff tea anymore - I had it while I was pregnant but I just kept throwing it up (sorry!) and when I tried it again once I'd given birth I was nearly sick - but proper tea tastes wonderful! I also can't use a certain type of washing up liquid coz of the smell for the same reason - weird!
