Getting Pregnant <
Trying to conceive

Hi, I'm new to this as both me and my partner have just decide to try for a baby, so I'm really just looking for advice. I have been taking the contraceptive pill for about 5 years and being honest, I have never really been good at taking it (missing one here there etc). So my most recent pack I missed the first two, which I wouldn't normally, but I wasn't sure whether to continue as my partner and I were talking about having children at the time. Anyway, I stopped taking it last Sunday and began to get dull aches in my lower back and groin, sort of like period pain, but not so painful and I was due my withdrawal bleed on yesterday which normally I am like clockwork, but haven't had anything until about a couple of hours ago which was really light pink and after just checking it now, it's a browny colour with no clots.
Is it possible I could still be pregnant? I would love it to be the case, but think it could just be wishful thinking :/.

Hi and yes its possible to fall pregnant while on the pill - even when taking it religiously ! I have a 7 yr old as proof lol
If you haven't taken it "properly" it is unlikely to be as effective.
As to the spotting it could be anything from a mild withdrawal bleed to implantation so I'd wait until you are due af then test... I personally didn't get a strong bfp till a few days after af was due tho
Also be mindful that the pill can trick you ! It can give you the same symptoms as your body adjusts to your normal hormone levels and depending on the pill can take a while to sort itself out however it is also said that when you stop the pill its possible to have a fertility surge the first month so fingers crossed for you xx
