First time in a forum so any advice will be welcomed.
My husband and I have been married for just over a year and a half, and we have just bought our fist home. everything is going great and we aren't struggling with money. We both have full time jobs, he's self employed. We generally spend all my wages on the bills etc and use his for food petrol etc. as it can vary form week to week.
My worry is that if we have a baby, how will we afford the mortgage etc. I will only be entitled to SMP, which will be £135 a week from week 7. this will not be enough to pay the mortgage let alone any thing else.
How do other people afford this? particulally if the husband is self employed
Any advice will be very helpful

I think you can it is a matter of adjustment and managing your money ♥ i have a daughter shes and and studying at a private school and shes active on extra coricular activities like swimming lesson, ballet, singing. Im a self employed plus a full time mom, we are strict on the things we need more than the things we want *if you get my point* and now were on ttc atm planning for a second baby, and when you are used on managing your money you will be surprised coz you will still have extra money at the end and by that you can enjoy and live life to the fullest, having a child is the best treasure we can have and we will do everything to support their needs ♥
Hope my scenario can help you ♥ go and have a baby i know you can do it dont worry too much just go wiyh the flow and everything will come to plan ♥ baby dust to everyone
