Trying to conceive

Hi everyone, this is my second post and mentioned about this is my first post but I'm curious to know what people think, or if it's happened to them.
Can a young child sense pregnancy?
The day after boxing day my little boy, out of the blue told me I have a baby in my tummy then hugged my tummy. And the next day I asked him where the baby was (just to see if he remembered) and he pointed to my tummy and said 'in there' before putting his hand on my tummy and stroking it. That morning I done a test just to see after what he done the day before but it came back negative. Now he says the 'baby is in there, he's hiding' before giving my tummy a hug.
Me and my husband are trying for another baby but trying not to get our hopes up. I have periods every two weeks and am due on Monday, however the last couple times it's been 3 days later, so think it's getting back to normal but dying to know if I am or not.
But what he's doing is amazing us, and I just wondered what everyone else thought.

Hey Sherman! Fingers crossed you get your positive soon! I’ve had A similar experience with my 3 year old daughter, I miscarried in September and within a couple of weeks my daughter never mentioned baby again about 7/8 weeks after miscarriage and at least a month since she had mentioned miscarried baby we were sat eating lunch and she just randomly looked at me and shouted we are having a baby! My heart broke thinking she was talking about miscarried baby and then my mind started to think maybe she knows something I don’t i done a test the next morning and got my bfp! She even told my mum the next day without me even telling her that I was indeed pregnant because of what Had happened before I didn’t want her To know but she knew before I did 😂 I’m now 12 weeks! So hopefully your son knows something you don’t 🤞🏻 Good luck!

Thanks for replying, kids really do amaze me with how physic they can be and know these things. Both me and my husband hope he does know something we don't and next week I'll get the positive but we are also trying not to get our hopes up to much especially after trying for over 2 years and 2 miscarriages earlier this year.
Will be amazing though.

I’m a firm believer of science but what my 2 year old did the other day got me here after some research.
My wife had another IVF cycle so we knew things were going on and already detected a positive pregnancy at 8dp5dt. Then 4 days later at night our 2 year old kept saying “baby gone, baby gone” completely out of the blue while we were all watching TV. The next morning, the pregnancy test sadly came back negative, indicating a chemical pregnancy.
While we had heavy bleeding (not a good sign), and the line kept getting fainter on the pregnancy test each day, we never discussed the details in front of our 2 year old. But I wonder if she sensed mum’s emotions or something. It’s quite amazing how some children seem to have that extra sense - whatever the cause or explanation.
