Trying to conceive

hello - new to this whole thing but figured this might give me some advice and stop me from constantly over analysing everything.
so been taking cerezette for around about 8 maybe 9 years now never had any issues with it. on the 22nd of April I was taken into hospital for a pulmonary valve replacement and was in intensive care for around a week. Obviously during this week I was unable to take any of my pills. On returning home we decided that we would let nature take its course and see what happens as having a baby was something we have wanted for a while And I figured it would take several months for my body to re adjust.
WIth being on cerezette it means that I haven't had a period in years or a regular one at least so I have no idea when my period is due hence why we have decided to let nature run its course as I would assume it would take my body time to get used to not taking the pill And once my regular period got back to normal we would be able to get a better grasp of what was a pregnancy symptom etc.
We have had intercourse a few times since my operation once being the 8th may and then again in the 14the may and on Sunday 22nd may I went to the toilet and found (sorry in advance) a sort of thick like browny red blood when I wiped. I figured this was my period starting but since then nothing else. I've done some research and some people are saying this could be implantation.
ive also had things like sore gums which is odd and a erect nipple (random I know) and sore boobs when I touch them. I also have had some mild cramping but it's usually when I'm in bed.
I did a test today and it came up as negative not sure if I'm too early or just imagining it now really but what I wanted was some advice for ladies who have been on cerezette and have had similar experiences I guess.

Just thought I would drop you a line. I'm on a thread, I've attached the link below and its full of ladies who have been trying to conceive since stopping cerazette, if you want to come and post of there. They are really lovely and have a world of experience of symptoms since stopping etc. Nearly all of us have said when you first stop you go through loads of symptoms that mirror pregnancy symptoms so that could be whats happening with you. Then again there have been a couple who got pregnant straight away without actually having a period.. anyway link is below if you fancy joining us
