Coming of the pill can play with our emotions so much, you come of cause you want to start TTC, you get all the pregnancy symptoms going, when your due on af doesn't show, and you think you've been lucky straight away. Only to take the test and realise your not pregnant and your periods are messed up.
That's where I am now, I've been of the pill for 5 weeks now and no sign of af, I've used opk ' since coming of the pill and haven't even ovulated yet. I do also have underactive thyroid which makes it we but hey ho.
Everywhere over the Internet you will see the stories of people that came of the pill and got af straight away or get pregnant straight away. Or those that 8 months to a year or more are still waiting for a to show. There is no stories in the middle. Has anyone ever come of the pill and not got af straight away but maybe she came back in the next cycle or two? Please come and share your stories.
I have been feeling really down about it all, but I think I'm feeling more positive at the moment well for now anyway, if I'm still waiting 6 months down the line I don't think i will feel as rational lol.
I'm currently taking Maca powder and red raspberry tea capsules to see if either of them help, as well as ttc vitamins

I know what you mean! You come off the pill and (if you're anything like me) hope to get pregnant straight away like you read about on the forums. I wanted a baby for a long time before we started TTC but knew I had to wait for a sensible time in my life. My period was always all over the place before I started taking the pill and continued to be irregular when I came off too. I didn't have a period for a couple of months but then it would come and go as it pleased! My cycles were always random which made charting anything impossible. I never had any luck with finding out when I was ovulating so I stopped trying to work it out in the end!
I came off Microgynon mid July 2013 and was pregnant by April 2014. Now I have a wonderful daughter who is almost 6 months old. It took a lot longer than I hoped - especially as I was quite impatient! I know everyone says this but try not to stress over it too much and just keep trying
I hope it all works out for you!

Hi Alex thank you for replying
It is so frustrating, I'm in an alright place at the moment, was getting rather stressed but seem to of accepted that it will probably take me a while. Although that is at the moment I'm sure my mind will change again.
Thinks are made even harder by the fact that I have under active thyroid, and after a blood test the other week my levels aren't stable again, I'm now on to high a dose.
Congratulations on your daughter, glad to here you got there in the end
