hello ladies im new to this group :) so I have a 17monrh old boy, and me and partner always decided we would start trying for another this December in time for him to be 3 , but since I've had him ive had problems with pills and im on my third lot and they made me feel so sick all the time tired ect , so I came off it 10 days ago , I had a bleed about 4-5 days later for 4 days , me and my partner had unprotected sex the day after my bleed Finshed and also yesterday , we where debating weather to get me the morning after pill but decided against it and if it happenes it happens , my question is how likly is it that I would fall pregnant ? As this is how we conceived our first very quickly after coming off the pill , be I waited till the end of the pack with him , and I've read that I don't class that bleed as my proper period ? Tia X

Hi Nazzyann, I came off the pill mid-pack back in Feb - I wasn't having any issues, I was just impatient lol. I did a fair bit of research into how possible it is to get pregnant straight away after coming off mid-pack and general consensus was that it is just as likely as if you wait to the end of a pack. Technically you can ovulate as soon as you stop taking the pill no matter when it is.
In my case I wasn't pregnant and it took 50 days to get a proper period (I had my withdrawal bleed 4 days after stopping the pill). But because I didnt know when my period would be due, I did one pregnancy test a week from about 3 weeks after coming off until my period actually did show.
Good luck either way!
